The man I loved - the man who vanished - he never came back at all. But maybe he's still out there, somewhere. Maybe some day, when Gotham no longer needs Batman, I'll see him again.

Wow, it was great to finally see a new episode of VM tonight. Loved the cat-n-mouse games between VM, the FBI, Lamb, and the other P.I.
Keith was livid for what VM did to him. That had to crush her.
The fortune "True Love Stories Never Have Endings" also had the Lost numbers on it (I think).

Have we seen the other P.I. before? Given that he wasn't given an introduction in the episode, I'm guessing he has, but I don't remember him.

The P.I. (played by Ken Marino) has been in a previous episode of VM.

Vinnie first appeared in Kane's and Abel's, season 1. Keith referred a client to him who needed a sleazy job done, and later Veronica bugged his office (with a pen, which makes his attempt to bug Veronica even more pathetic). I can't believe you don't recall him singing Hall and Oates songs. "Private eye, I'm watching you..."
On a side note, that horror movie Bell's doing looks pretty good from ad tonight. Although I could tell even before I looked it up on IMDb that it's a remake of a Japanese film.

So we finally get to see what was on the fortune from the season premiere.
When Veronica pulled out The Virgin Suicides CD, I said play The Air That I Breathe! When she played How Can You Mend A Broken Heart, I thought that's a good choice too. Then the jumpcut to The Air That I Breathe. Nice.
Loved the "Morning Sam"/"Morning Ralph" between the V's.
Nice shout-out to the Television Without Pity website when V took that phone call next to a bulletin board. Teenage Women of Propriety.

So, is Teddy done (pun intended)?

I kinda felt sorry for Lamb as he was being put in his place and jerked around. But then I got over it

I know there's a good pun about VM leading Lamb to slaughter, but I just can't quite put it in text quite right.

So I'm guessing there won't be any fallout for Vernonica for helping Duncan across the border.
I expect there'll be major fallout with her dad, but no legal problems. At least not immediately -- the FBI agent's line about kidnapping being something that never goes away hints that this could come back to bite Ronnie on the ass in future seasons.

Lamb will be pissed, but remember, Veronica has enough dirt on Lamb to deal with him whenever she needs it. She'll never really have to worry about Lamb.
She doesn't even need dirt. The way Lamb was acting around the Feds, there's no way he'll admit to being duped by some high school kids. I wouldn't be surprised if he tells the deputy not to even mention his run to Mexico.
(Speaking of which, what is up with the new, black deputy? Was he someone famous doing a cameo, or is he setting up a new plotline?)

OK, maybe I'm dense, but if Duncan really is the baby's father and he is now over 18, then why did they abandon the idea of suing for custody of the baby?
Too much chance that the Mannings would hire Van Lowe and he'd uncover Duncan's mental problems, I guess. Actually, given that his parents are on trial for obstruction of justice, his mental problems might be in the public record. What judge would give custody to Duncan when his own parents thought he'd murdered his sister during a blackout?

What about Kendall? Were she and Duncan doing it, or did she just like the big bathroom?

I don't quite remember what was said about Kendall as Duncan was asking V. about their plans. I kind of got the feeling Kendall was duped into being at the apartment, but the whole thing went by so quickly I wasn't sure how. So umm...same question as Thomas

Was it me or did the episode just seem... off?
Almost a parody of itself. The only parts that were good was the Logan/Weevil story, which I'm really looking forward to more on that. Seems Logan and Eli learned a little from Ms. Mars.
I don't know the episode though as a whole just seemd weird and off. I can't quite put my finger on it. I knew Veronica was in on the baby-napping with Duncan. That was easy to figure out. There wasn't enough emphasis from other students about the very public "break up".
And who was the girl at the end? I thought it was Meg for a minute but it wasn't, was it the girl that was working for Meg's family?
I am interested to see where this all goes from here.
