They'd be shooting their wad by using "The Dark Knight Returns" for the sequel name. You need a handful of films with the same group intact to get to tell, in essence, the last Batman story with "The Dark Knight Returns" (as far as Bruce as Batman is concerned) as it's about Batman in his twilight.

Seems the "Batman Attacks" is a legit title with several people confirming it to be a possible title at http://www.batman-on-film.com/batmovienews.html .

Batman: Crusade

Like the sound of this - far better than "Batman Attacks."

Then again, the working title of Batman Begins was Batman: Intimidation Game, which makes sense given the story, but doesn't work as well (IMNHSO).

"Crusade" is action-oriented and evocative. "Attacks" makes it sound like Batman is putting on camos and gunning down bad guys.

Of the rumoured names I've heard so far, "Batman: Escalation" sounds best to me. I would have never thought of it, too.

I'm actually a big fan of the title "The Intimidation Game" I would of loved to of seen the film come out with it, don't have Batman in the title, just the bat logo on a poster with that title.

For a sequel, come up with another catchy title, like "A Game of Cards" and for the poster, have a Batarang pinning a Joker card to a wall. Or something like that (smiling fish? ). I know it will never happen, the marketing people would never allow a superhero movie to go out with out the heros name in the title, it just seems more mature (I'm a total comic geek at 31, show me some kids that actually buy and collect comics.)and lyrical to me than "Batman: Fight ON!" or titles of that ilk.

The man I loved - the man who vanished - he never came back at all. But maybe he's still out there, somewhere. Maybe some day, when Gotham no longer needs Batman, I'll see him again.

Not sarcastic at all, I've been passing it on to my friends, they all think it's a great title (they also sing the song while saying it, like I found myself doing.)

My biggest hope for the sequel is that it will continue to focus on Bruce Wayne/Batman and his personal journey. Batman Begins was about Batman conquering his fear and transforming it into action; I'd like the sequel to show us more growth, challenges, and triumph for him. Because the character has just "begun," there's certainly a lot for him to learn, both practically and philosophically. Nolan, Goyer and Bale have proven that Batman IS an interesting, complex character. Whomever the villain is, I hope they use him/her/it similarly to Sam Raimi in Spider-man 2: as a way to develop the hero and give him more depth.

I thought they would go with something like "Batman Endures", "Batman "Continues", "Batman Resumes", "Batman Perseveres", "Batman Advances" or something, to keep in the same theme as "Batman Begins". I guess we'll see. BUt I don't particularly like the "Batman Attacks" title.

As for casting. I was watching "Prison Break" last night and thought that the guy who plays the sadistic psycho "T-Bag", Robert Knepper, would be a great Joker in the next Batman movie. Typecasting, but hey, I have nothing else to go on.

I'm glad that they didn't sign katie holmes. Nothing against her as an actress but I don't think she fit the role as the attorney.

After the first time that I saw Batman Begins, I didn't understand why people had a problem with Katie Holmes. I realized what a bad actress she is when I saw it for the second time because of the scene where her character brings Bruce Wayne a present on his birthday.

Watch the way she talks on the phone in that scene. She speaks way too fast for someone on the other line to possibly have time to tell her anything, making it obvious that she's just talking into a prop or a phone that's not on. Shame on her for such blatantly inept acting. The director should have insisted on more takes.

Unless I missed something, I'm pretty sure WB has said Holmes will likely be back. I know there was a fake press release that circulated a lot in which Holmes was directly blamed for bringing the movie down and they were kicking her to the curb but a movie studio would never release something like that.
