[c]The For Real, Final, Last, Never Again 61" Sale[/c]
"Friends! Wooters! Countrypersons! We come both to praise the InFocus SP61MD10 61 ” DLP HDTV and to bury it. After a long, Fantasticks -like run on Woot, Big Slim’s taking a final bow before we drop the velveteen curtain on it forever. We’ve had joy, we’ve had fun, we’ve had crystal-clear, 720p, 61” HD-native images. Whatever will we do with ourselves, now that we won’t be telling people about the SP61MD10 ’s vibrant color and crisp picture quality?
Like fools, we thought there would always be a little more time to get to know the patent-pending InFocus engine, enabling astonishingly excellent images without image retention, brightness loss, pixel loss, image warping, or any of the other little defects that plague lesser thin-screen technologies. With its Texas Instruments native 16:9 high-definition HD2 + DLP chip with DarkChip 2 technology, the SP61MD10 always seemed so full of life. Sure, we knew on some level that nothing lasts forever. But how could such a robust, healthy TV ever leave us? It just didn’t seem like a real possibility.
But it was. It was every bit as real as the SP61MD10 ’s two integrated high-definition tuners (cable and off-air), or its HD connectivity through HDMI ™ and dual IEEE 1393 with two-way DTV -Link. And now that moment we’ve feared has arrived. Don’t tarry. Don’t delay. Don’t let this day slip through your fingers like so many others before. Seize the SP61MD10 while you still can, or be tormented by regret for the rest of your life, by phantom memories of those moments you could have shared with the SP61MD10 but didn’t.
In lieu of flowers, we’re marking the SP61MD10 ’s passing by including a special Memorial Bag O’ Crap with every purchase. Of course, contrary to what we scream at you during every other Crap sale, this time do not buy a quantity of three unless you want three TVs . You can count on us to fill your BOC with ample crappiness – not because we’re such nice guys, but because the SP61MD10 would have wanted it that way."
