Any reviews for Paris, Texas (W. Wenders)

It was released over a week ago, but I haven't come across any reviews for Paris, Texas yet.

Can someone direct me to a review, or give their thoughts on the transfer for this outstanding film?

It's only $12 CAD, but I'd still like to make an educated purchase.

EDIT: Can someone add a question mark to the header?

Still haven't found any reviews, and noone has posted any thoughts on the DVD.

Does anyone actually own this DVD?

Review at http://www.dvdbeaver.com/film/DVDRev...aris-texas.htm

Elsewhere on Gary's site there's also a comparison with the R2.

According to Gary, it's the best DVD release this year! so definately worth the $12 or whatever it costs

Even less! Everyone can and should pick it up.

His comparison with the 20.00 GBP R2 at Amazon is slightly misleading though; it's available for 8.49 GBP at Play.com.

Yeah, I paid 8.97 GBP for the R2 disc at Amazon just a couple of months ago - not quite sure why it jumped in price. I am probably not gonna 'double dip' because they both have the same extras and the picture quality is close enough.

The DVD Beaver review shot this to the top of my to-buy list when I read it.

I saw this last night and was blown away by it. It's an almost perfect film.

Exactly. I watched it last week, and it's still in my mind. Very close to perfect is just how I describe it. One of the best films I own on dvd, and the transfer is breathtaking.
