Bulger indoors vs a plauged NE Defense seems like a better play. I was trying to decide between Bulger vs Brady but its indoors so I tend to favor Bulger.

I need a defense recommendation:

Right now I have Chicago's D but they are playing the Giants so I'm looking elsewhere.

Here are my choices

Dallas @ Cinncinnati
Cinncinnati @ home vs Dallas
Buffalo @ NYJ
STL @ Home vs NE
KC @ Tampa Bay
Houston @ Denver

Buffalo or KC seems like the safest play but I don't know. What do ya'll say?

I would probably stay with Chicago. Depends on your scoring system.

Advice please at WR:

Stokely vs Min.
Plaxico vs Eagles
Marcus Robinson @ Ind.
Torry Holt at home vs Pats.

one has got to sit. I was thinking Stokely. Actually I could come up with good reasons to play each. Marcus, sans Moss may bode well in a track meet game. Tory Holt should get decent numbers versus a weakened Pats D (no Ty Law).
etc.

Thoughts ?

That's a good problem to have Alex -- those are all good plays. I would probably sit Stokely, too, since there are so many options in Indy's offense. It's tough to sit Holt, even though he's had a down year (for him). The only other option would be Burress vs. a tough Eagles secondary -- the Steelers will have trouble scoring.

I need some opinions. I need to start two of the following WR's:

Anquan Boldin
David Givens
Amani Toomer
Andre Davis
Justin McCareins

I'm leaning towards Boldin & Givens. Givens is still listed as questionable. Anyone from the New England area have any updates?

Thanks in advance.

Boldin and Davis is what I'd go with (if Givens isn't playing). I have a similar dilemma myself. I need to start two of the following:

Jabar Gaffney (HOU @ DEN)
Ronald Curry (OAK @ CAR)
Az Hakim (DET vs. WAS)
Jerome Pathon (NO @ SD)
Travis Taylor (BAL vs. CLE)

Obviously the byes are hurting me this week.

RB-wise, I have to pick one of the following:

Kevin Jones (DET vs. WAS)
Corey Dillon (NE @ STL) - Not sure what his injury status is.....
Jerome Bettis (PIT vs. PHI)

Thanks!

Robert, I would go with Boldin and Toomer. Never trust a Patriot on the injured list. Andre Davis is just back from injury and is playing a tough Baltimore defense (I'm leaving him on the bench in favor of Jerome Pathon this week).

Scott, I would go with Gaffney and (I can't believe I'm saying this) Hakim. Tai Streets is out for Detroit, so Hakim should get plenty of passes -- hopefully he'll hang onto a few of them. As for the RB's, the Lions running game has been horrible and the 'Skins have one of the best run defenses -- not a good combo. However, a slight ray of hope is that fullback Cory Schlesinger returns for the Leos and will be Kevin Jones lead blocker. If Staley doesn't play, though, I would start Bettis.

I'll be at the Detroit - Washington game tomorrow watching Jones get stuffed by the Skins defense.

WEEK 10
I can't believe the good luck I'm having in my $ league. Won again last week against the next best team on the strength of A. Gates and M. Pittman alone. 6 TD's between them in a scoring only league was huge! This week is fairly straight foward for me, but I had one option. 2 of my WR's are on bye's this week (McCardell and J. Porter). Which is fine as I have Muhammad vs SF and Burress vs CLE which are pretty favorable matchups. However, Im getting sick of saving a spot on my bench for Porter and Burlson(MIN) is available vs GB this week. The only reason Im holding on to Porter is that the Raiders still get to play the Chiefs twice this year and he would be nice to have for those games. Would you take the chance of dropping Porter to pick up Burlson for one week and then try to reclaim Porter? Would Burlson be a better start than Muhammad or Burress in the 1st place? (of course, this is all assuming R. Moss is out again for week 10).
TIA,
Phil

Phillip,
I released Porter a while back and don't regret that decision one bit.

Right now I'm fighting a decision.

Bulger at home vs Seattle
Brady at home vs Buffalo.

Right now I'm leaning on Bulger given its indoors and Seattle has given up alot of points lately. That and they gave up alot to Bulger the last time out.

Any thoughts?

Shane,
Buffalo ranks 3rd against the pass (passyards/game), 12th against passing TD's (9 allowed) and has allowed 1,378 total passing yds to date.
Seatle ranks 15th against the pass, 13th against passing TD's (10 allowed) and has allowed 1,734 passing yards to date.
Based on the matchups, I like Bulger alot more. Plus, he torched Seattle late in the game last time they played, so the potential is there.

Philip, Burleson would be a good pickup -- Porter's been a disappointment. However, I would still start Burress over him this week.

Shane, Bulger had a good game in his first meeting vs. Seattle, so I would go with him (I'm starting Brady, but my other choice, due to injuries, is David Garrard ).

My decision this week -- pick two of the following three (I'm missing RSmith and SMorris due to bye weeks):

Pathon against KC
Andre Davis against Pitt
Lee Evans against NE

Pathon disappointed me last week, but KC has no defense. Right now I have him and Davis in the lineup, but Davis is banged up. I just picked up Evans (still trying to replace Terry Glenn), and the Patriots have a banged up secondary, so I'm tempted to try him instead of ADavis.

Scott,
Evans is a crap shoot. He disappeared a week or 2 for me so I dropped him in favor or Pathon.

Scott,
If Pittsburg is going to have a game where they don't show up, this week would be it. They just knocked off 2 undefeated teams in row and might have a problem getting up for Clevland. So, with that theory, Davis could be a good start. Plus, Clevland's gotta be pissed the way they lost to Baltimore. New England's secondary is banged up like you mentioned, so Evans is attractive as well. KC gives up so many pts that Pathon is a good call as well. Nice problem to have. Based on matchups, I would go with Evans and Pathon. Based on a hunch, I would go with Davis and Evans. Horn may get most of the looks from Brooks this week. But thats just my opinion.

Ok guys, I can't decide what to do with this trade offer and I need help fast.

The guy is offering me Randy Moss and Johnie Morton for Deuce McCallister and David Givines.

So that would leave me with Edgerin James, Lee Suggs, and Micheal Pittman as my runningbacks, and Hines Ward, Randy Moss, L. Coles, and Nate Burleson as my wide recievers. Would you guys make the trade? I have only a couple of hours to decide. Thanks in advance,

Brandon

Brandon, if Moss was healthy that trade would be a no-brainer. With his hamstring injury, it's more a roll of the dice. If Moss comes back and plays as usual next weekend (he's out this weekend), then you would be strengthening your team. I would consider Givens and Morton a wash (although Givens numbers are better, but both would be no better than your #3 receiver after the deal), so look at it as Moss for McAlister.

The gamble is that Moss could be hampered by this the rest of the season. What's your record? If you are in first place, I would probably stand pat. However, if you are playing catchup in the standings, it may be worth the gamble.

It's a ten team league, I am at 5-4 with 7 other teams, and am last in points of those other teams. I was thinking that McCallister hasn't done much now, and I kinda need a shakeup of the team, and I desperately need points. Tick Tock tick tock still not sure.

Personally, I would think that Givens and Morton is a wash, so your looking as Duece for Moss. When Moss gets healthy, he is will be a top 2 or 3 reciever in the league. Thats IF he gets healthy. Duece is nice, but not a top 2 or 3 RB. You've got Pittman and Suggs as #2 RB's which is a drop-off from Duece, but Pittman is starting to find the endzone and may be a very good RB in the second half to help you absorb the loss of Duece. I would probably pull the trigger looking at your record and your desire to 'shake' up your team. Just my opinion.

Who are his RB's? Pittman is on fire and since the guy (probably) used a 1st round pick on Moss, he is likely frustrated and weak at RB. Offer him Pittman and Givens for Moss. I wouldn't trade Deuce so easily.

I flip you. I flip you for real.

I tried making other offers, but he won't budge, his rb's are Curtis Martin, Jerome Bettis and Kevin Jones

I think I am going to pull the trigger and hope that Pittman can continue putting up good numbers.

Brandon, considering your position in the standings, it's probably a worthwhile gamble. Your team needs a shake-up, and there are only a few weeks left until fantasy playoffs (assuming your league has them).

This season has been very difficult to trade in my money league. There have been fewer trades than I can ever remember, and I've only been able to pull one decent one -- getting Hines Ward for CJohnson and Pittman several weeks ago. All other offers have been rebuffed -- no one wants to deal.

I did get lucky in one trade talk that fell through a few weeks ago. I was discussing a swap of Brady for Pennington, with me getting an improvement at either RB or WR for giving up Brady. I had Leftwich starting at the time, so figured I could get by with Pennington as a backup. Now, with both Pennington and Leftwich out injured, I would have been screwed. I'm glad the other owner decided to wait a couple of weeks to see if Pennington turned things around.

Well I did it, and we will have to wait a week or so to see if this will come back to haunt me.

I guess the best and worst move I made this year involved the same player. Best move...drafting Tiki Barber as my fourth running back in the fourteenth, yes I said fourteenth round.

Worst move was trading Barber after week one for Hines Ward, I mean what kind of trade position would I have been in had I kept Barber, that would have given me Barber, James, Mcallister, and Suggs as my running backs.

I told a buddy that I was going to draft Tiki just to trade him, but I never thought he would have the year he is having and now I regret getting rid of him. Did I just say that, I regret getting rid of Tiki Barber?

Deja Vu anyone ?

Advice please at WR:

Stokely vs Hou
Plaxico at Cleveland
Marcus Robinson @ Green Bay
Torry Holt vs Seattle
Eddie Kennison at N'awlins.

only 3 can be played. Again, like last week, I can think of reasons to play each one. Kennison who was not in the picture last week is up against the worst pass defense with Holmes out.
Robinson...similar situation with Moss out. if Moss is out...
Plaxico has been solid lately. Holt is capable of big numbers.

thoughts ?

Alex, I would go with Holt, Robinson and Burress. Stokely has not been getting as many looks the past few weeks, and Kennison is always a crapshoot.

Injuries have settled my starting dilemma this week. It looks like Andre Davis will not play, so I am stuck with starting Pathon and Lee Evans -- along with SAlexander, RWayne and HWard. My bench is getting thin with all these injuries -- I have four solid starters with the three above and RSmith (on a bye this week), but that last starting spot is getting tougher to fill every week. I've lost CGarner, TGlenn, DBranch, ADavis, Leftwich and Gannon so far to injury, and THenry to McGahee.
