Shane,
I would start Philly's D and Tom Brady vs Seahawks.
Now to go flip a coin to decide which of my crappy WR's to start this week.

Chad,
If you can afford to dump one of your QB's, I would dump Collins and pick up Droughns who looked very impressive vs Carolina. But who knows, Shanahan could put him back on the bench this week and bring back mini me.

Philip,
Yeah I thought about that but there is no guarantee he will go back in....

Chad, drop your extra tight end Kinney if you need to open a roster spot. As for RB pickups, I would go after either Droughns, Mewalde Moore or Artose Pinner. Moore will be the better play this weekend against a bad New Orleans defense. FYI, Charlie Garner is out for the year.

Is Bennett expected back anytime soon? If not, I may try to pick up Moore as well.

Non money league QB choices:
T. Rattay vs NYJ
T. Brady vs. SEA

Maney League (scoring only league)
WR:
P. Burress vs DAL (finally got on the board last week)
A. Hakim vs GB (I like this pick if R. Williams cant go)
D. Stallworth vs MIN (this guy has been a bust so far)
J. Porter vs DEN (will probably have C. Bailey on him)
Leaning torwards Hakim and Burress

RB:
C. Portis vs CHI (WAS poor O-line and CHI relatively decent rushing DEF + Portis not finding the endzone lately makes this a hard pick, but he's my stud)
T. Jones vs WAS (Started out great, but with his starting QB out and WAS excellent run DEF, another difficult pick)
M. Moore vs NO (probably his last week as a starter vs a horrible NO run DEF)
D. Staley vs DAL (Bettis always a threat to take away goal line TD's unless Staley breaks one from outside the red zone)
Leaning torwards Portis and Moore

Im leaving for Laughlin NV tomorrow so I need to get these in before then. Anyone have any games they would bet this weekend?

Philip,

I would go with Brady, Burress and Stallworth (Hakim still sucks), Portis (never bench your studs) and Jones.

It looks like Scott Weinberg and I agree -- it must be the same first name.

My choices this week:

QB: Brady
RB: Alexander
WR: CJohnson, RSmith

I need to pick two more RB/WRs from the following:

Zereoue vs. Denver
THenry vs. Miami
Pittman @ StL
TGlenn vs. Pitt
Andre Davis vs. Cincy

Right now I have Glenn and Zereoue in, but I'm not that confident in either choice.

too many running backs....which one to choose ? I've only got room for 3 in the league.

RB C. Brown (Ten - RB) vs Hou
RB F. Taylor (Jac - RB) vs KC
RB D. McAllister (NO - RB) vs Min
RB T. Jones (Chi - RB) vs Was

A new life awaits you in the off-world colonies, the chance to begin again in a golden land of opportunity and adventure.

Let's Go . . . To the colonies !

Tough choices Scott.. I'd go with Z and Davis, but it's really a toss up. Z looks good though if Fargas is still gimpy. Z broke a long run last week that was called back.

Alex, no question: Brown, McAllister, Jones.

I don't get it, you've only got room to start three or only have room for three on your team? If the first is the case, Brown Deuce and Fraud (Washington has #2 run defense and Jones has sucked since Rex went out). If the latter, then trade Brown or Jones while their stock is very high/decent.

I flip you. I flip you for real.

Alex,

I would start Brown, Taylor and McAlister -- all are playing against weak defenses. As Frank said, Jones will struggle with Grossman gone. You may want to trade him for a quality receiver before his stock drops too much. There are always guys looking for running backs, and Jones is definitely in the "sell high" category right now.

Doug, I was thinking about Andre Davis, too. I just picked him off the waiver wire, and he's playing vs. a not great Cincy defense.

I as well have T. Jones in my $ league and I cant get anyone to bite on a trade offer.
He's in for a ruff week against Washington in my opinion. Im probably gonna bench him, which means he should do great, so go ahead and start him and you can thank me later.

My weekly start/bench decisions:

Current lineup
QB: Leftwich @ Indy
RB: Alexander @ Ariz (no brainer)
WR: RWayne vs. Jax
Flex: TGlenn @ GB
Flex: CJohnson vs. Den
Flex: RSmith @ Cincy

options on bench:
QB: Brady vs. Jets
Flex: Zereoue vs. NO, Pittman vs. Chi, THenry @ Bal, SMorris vs. StL, ADavis vs. Philly

QB: Leftwich has put up big numbers the past three weeks and Jacksonville will need to throw the ball to keep with Indy, while I think the NE/Jets game could be low scoring.

Flex: I have concerns about CJohnson and RSmith, both of whom have under performed. Zereoue has a nice matchup against the Saints, but Wheatley may be back. ADavis is day-to-day with a toe injury, and I have a hard time starting a Miami back (Morris), even against the Rams.

I'm also trying to swing a trade for Plaxico Burress to someone with major bye week issues. My current offer is RSmith, so I may need to replace him in my lineup anyway if he accepts the trade.

Opinions?

I too, would be concerned about R. Smith. I would be temped to start Pittman in his place as Portis ran all over Chicago's DEF last week, although, for no TD's. But Pittman has actually found his way into the endzone lately for some reason.

If you could get Burress for Smith, you'd be doing good.

I'd also be tempted to start Morris over Johnson in the other flex spot as well. But, I usually always take a RB over a WR in the flex anyways.

Hopefully Leftwich won't be hindered by his injury.

Now for my WR problems. I have 6 players on bye's this week, so my choices are limited. Better to get it over with all at once though. I get to start 2 out of the 3 available.
D. Stallworth vs OAK
J. Porter vs NO
A. Hakim vs NYG

Stallworth and Hakim are both gimpy, so Im starting Porter no matter what. He's due, I just know it. So, would you start Hakim or Stallworth. Noted, it may come down to a game day decision based on the injury reports. Whats the inside scoop on Hakim, Scott M. (being that your in Michigan)?

Current lineup
QB: Brady vs. Jets
QB: Leftwich @ Indy

The Jets can be thrown on and in a tough divisional game with major implications I expect Brady to step it up and deliver some strikes. If Leftwich weren't so banged up he would be an equally good choice, but I think his mobility will be limited and I expect Dwight Freeney to put pressure on him all game long.

RB: Alexander @ Ariz (no brainer)
Flex: Zereoue vs. NO

Alexander is a never bench player, but I wouldn't underestimate Arizona's D coming off their bye week. I'm not saying you bench him, but don't be surprised if he underperforms. The New Orleans defense can't stop any runner, so Zereoue is a good play here. I think Wheatley and Fargas are still too injured to take many carries away.

WR: RWayne vs. Jax
Flex: TGlenn @ GB
Flex: RSmith @ Cincy

How many flex spots do you have? I'd bench CJ before I'd bench Rod Smith. Rod always steps it up on Monday Night Football and the Bengals secondary made Jeff Garcia look like Peyton Manning last week. CJ and CP just aren't getting it done, and Champ Bailey is going to shut that connection down this week.

--------------------------

D. Stallworth vs OAK
J. Porter vs NO
A. Hakim vs NYG

Check Stallworth's injury status - right now he's listed as questionable. If he starts then he's a good play along with Porter. Hakim is usually only a good start against a bad secondary. The Giants are surprisingly speedy and better than expected in that area.

Whats the inside scoop on Hakim, Scott M. (being that your in Michigan)?

Hakim had a walking boot on early this week. He still did not take part in any team drills in Thursday's practice. Mariucci did not discuss Hakim's status on his morning radio report today. Roy Williams is supposed to play, but maybe on a limited basis. If Roy sees much playing time, Hakim is a horrible play. If Williams cannot go, Hakim still is not a good play. Heck, when he's 100% healthy, he's still not a good play.

Quote:

Brad, we play 1 RB, 1 WR and 3 Flex spots (RB/WR/TE). I did see that Wheatley is now listed as doubtful, when the early week speculation was that he would be back this week. If Wheatley doesn't play, I'll probably go with Zereoue over CJohnson. I agree that RSmith vs. Cincy is a better play than CJ vs. Denver and Champ Bailey. I just know that CJ will finally have a great week when I bench him, though.

Okay, Hakim didn't practice today and looks Roy is on the mend. Time to dump one crappy WR and pick up another. Here are the available WR's that Im interested in.

R. Gardner - bye
A. Davis - PHI (sore toe)
M. Muhammad - SD
B. Loyd - bye
E. Parker - CAR

Even though he is on a bye, Im thinking of picking up Gardner, but Davis has been doing well as of late. Ugh, I hate my crappy WR problems.

If you're not concerned about the bye week, I would rank those receivers in the following order:

1. Lloyd
2. ADavis
3. Gardner
4. Muhammad
5. Parker

I have ADavis, but would gladly trade him for Lloyd.

My offer of RSmith for Plaxico was turned down. He countered with Plax for Reggie Wayne, which I quickly refused.

I've another trade offer out there to another owner -- I give up CJohnson and Pittman for Hines Ward and Tatum Bell. This owner needs players, and Pittman sits on my bench most weeks. I need another consistent scorer, and Ward fits that bill.

My trade of CJohnson & Pittman for Hines Ward and Tatum Bell (throw in to balance rosters) was accepted, so my starting decisions are more clearcut for this weekend, other than QB.

QB: Leftwich @ Indy
RB: Alexander
WR: Wayne
Flex: TGlenn
Flex: Zereoue
Flex: RSmith

Bench: TBrady, THenry (questionable), SMorris, ADavis (injured), HWard (bye), Branch (injured).

I still may chicken out on Leftwich vs. Brady at QB. Brady's teh safer play, but Leftwich has more potential for a huge game.

I ended up picking up Gardner since he is playing GB next week. We'll see how that goes. I was torn on Loyd. If Porter can't get it going this week, I may just drop him and pick up Loyd then.

Edit: Good trade Scott.

Anyone mind giving me some advice? I'm having a hard time deciding this week.

I need to play 3 WR's, 2 RB's, 1 TE and, 1QB.

For WR, I have...
J. Walker vs Dal
J. Horn vs Oak
R. Wayne vs Jac
Roy Williams vs NYG

RB...
Mewelde Moore vs Ten
Edge James vs Jac
Thomas Jones vs TB
T. Henry vs Bal

TE...
Boo Williams vs Oak
Jerramy Stevens vs Ari
(I'm still holding on to Todd Heap if he ever comes back)

QB...
I know you're always supposed to play your studs, but I'll ask anyway.
McNabb vs Cle
Leftwich vs Ind

I'm leaning towards
WR - Walker, Horn, and Wayne
RB - James and Moore (what about Jones)
TE - Stevens(??)
QB - I suppose I need to play McNabb, but Leftwich has come on strong, and isn't Indy rather poor against the pass?

thanks.

Steve,
Anyone mind giving me some advice?

Boy did you come to the right place

I agree with your WR and RB choices, but I would probably start Boo Williams at TE. While Leftwich has come on strong lately, he is slightly banged up. Indy's DEF isn't that great, but neither is CLE (if I remember correctly). Srart your stud.

Is Jermaine Wiggins available on waivers in your league? You're from Minnesota so you must have seen what he did last week. He's immediately a better play than Stevens or Williams.

Otherwise, all your leanings are correct.

Wow, 3 replies in a couple hours, thanks.

I'm still not sure what to do for TE, but it probably doesn't matter, every TE I have tried this year sucks. Boo Williams scored a couple weeks ago, I think that was my first TE score this year.

Brad - I checked the other day, Wiggins was taken. (I'm not a Vikes fan though, I grew up in Green Bay)

I'll let y'all know how I did. Thanks.

What do you all think of Droughns and Horn for CMart and Moss?
I really really like Droughns this year, especially considering the defenses he faces throughout the rest of the year, but Moss= yum. Two things, I don't think Martin will keep his production up over the year, but he should still be productive (plus I may be able to deal him and get someone I like). Second thing, and it's a biggie, is Mart and Moss have already had their byes whereas my two guys haven't.

I flip you. I flip you for real.
