I suppose I'm not one to talk, since I'm tied for last place in HTFI. :b
Sometimes, having the 1st pick overall is not a great place to be. Sure you get to pick Priest, but by the time it gets back to you for the 2nd round pick, its slim pickins. I'm starting to think that the 3-5 spot or 8-12 is actually much better. For instance, in my money league, the team that picked 12th, then 13th overall, is in 1st place with a commanding lead.

Yeah, I know the scheduling god's have smiled upon me.

But that's why I've got to enjoy it now, because I know it probably won't last.

In my money league, I'm in first place and have the highest point total, so I feel much more confident in that one.

D. Stallworth @ ARI
P. Burress vs CIN
R. Curry @ HOU
Leaning torwards Stallworth and Burress, but Curry has more touchdowns than either of them.

RB-Pick 2
C. Portis @ CLE (starting to worry me with that horrid O-Line. He had 3 chances to punch it in last monday and failed)
T. Jones vs PHI
D. Staley vs CIN (Didn't J. Lewis just run all over CIN?)

I would probably go with Stallworth and Curry -- Burress now has a rookie QB throwing to him. For the RBs, stick with Portis (never bench your studs) and Jones. Staley has almost no value in a TD-only league, and it's Pittman's first week back, so you do not know what kind of shape he's in.

I have bad matchups this week -- my entire lineup seems to be facing quality defenses. Having Alexander on a bye doesn't help, either. Here's my current lineup, and I would appreciate suggested changes:

QB: Brady @ Buff
RB: Henry vs. NE
WR: CJohnson @ Pitt
Flex: RWayne @ Jax
Flex: RSmith @ TB
Flex: Branch @ Buff

Bench: Leftwich vs. Indy, Pittman vs. Denv, Fargas @ Hou, Calico @ SD
Bye week: Alexander, TGlenn
Injured: Gannon, CGarner

I've placed a waiver claim for Kerry Collins (I just waived him a week ago ), so if I get him, he would also be an option at QB at Houston.

I would go with Brady, Barber and Dillon -- Atlanta has a very tough run defense (as does Buffalo, though). For league B, can you punt? You could always take a chance on LHenry at RB, since all your options are pretty bad. And I'm biased against Schroeder after watching him "play" in Detroit the past two seasons -- he's terrible and shouldn't even be on an NFL roster, let alone a fantasy football roster. I'd play anyone instead of him.

BTW, I picked up LHenry on waivers, too, but do not have the guts to start him this (or probably any) week. So, don't take my advice on starting him too seriously.

Well, Deion Branch is listed as "doubtful" on New England's injury report, so I need a replacement. My choices are Pittman vs. Denver, LHenry vs. Jets, or Calico vs. SD. Calico is still listed as questionable. Right now I have Pittman in the lineup.

The bye week and injuries are killing me this week! Between the two, I've lost SAlexander (bye), Branch (injured), CGarner (injured), Gannon (injured) and TGlenn (bye).

I would stick with Pittman from your available options. With T. Pryce out of the line-up, you might be able to run against the Broncos, unless your name is L. Tomlinson.

Week 5:
Portis vs BAL who has only allowed 3 rushing TD's all year
or
Staley vs CLE who has given up 5 TD's so far.
Basically, better RB vs better DEF
or
Not as good of RB (who usually ends up giving the ball to Bettis at the goal line anyways) vs a not so good run DEF.

I know I shouldn't bench my prime starter, but the matchups are telling me I should.

I have also been considering dumping either Staley or Pittman altogether and picking up Hambrick who may at least get some TD's, but Pittman is playing NO this week who has allowed the most rushing TD's of all.

Staley has zero TDs this year as Bettis gets the goal line carries. I would go with Portis.

I'm stuck worry about Vandy kicking or not. Of course with the bye week coming up I could just pick up another kicker anyway for this week and next I guess.

I had the same worry Seth. I picked up another kicker when I read that Dungy said "we are leaning towards playing it safe and starting Matt".

Add to that he's a gametime start, and I'll take a pass on him this week.

My money team officially sucks this season! I will fall to 1-4 after tonight, unless Chris Brown and Drew Bennett do absolutely nothing for my opponent. Travis Henry and Chad Johnson are killing me.

That doesn't appear to be happening.. Chris Brown is going nuts on the Packers.

Yeah, I also would like to know what everyone thinks about Bulger in general. He's getting better every game, and they have a lot of home games left, but they also face a lot of good secondaries throughout the season (Miami, NE, Buffalo, and then Philly in the fantasy playoffs). I have a lot of solid WR's (Horn/J Smith/Price/Branch/Boldin), but I'm thinking I could upgrade one to a top tier player or even upgrade my #2 RB (Henry/Droughns/Griffin). I pretty much build my $ league team without relying on the QB, just getting by at that position, and Big Ben seems like the perfect candidate.

Shane, I would stick with Brady vs. Seattle. Bulger was able to pass on the Seahens, so Brady should have success, too. Tampa's secondary is pretty good.

However, I'm now 1-4, so my advice is not worth much.
