Yahoo mail and Outlook Express

If I look at an e-mail and delete it with outlook express, it will delete it off my Yahoo acct. However, when I look at an e-mail on Yahoo and delete it, it won't delete it off Outlook express. And looking at my e-mails via Yahoo is the way I prefer to look at my e-mail. I wouldn't even use Outlook Express, but I have to in order to look at my e-mails on my Palm pilot.Any suggestions on how to get e-mails that I delete on Yahoo to delete off outlook?

This will probably get moved to the computer and htpc forum. That being said, I don't think there's any way to do what you want to do. When you open up Outlook Express you're downloading a copy of each e-mail onto your computer and leaving the original (or a copy if you prefer to think of it that way) on Yahoo's server. Yahoo's server is always open for communication and OE knows how to communicate with it. Yahoo, on the other hand, cannot make changes to your machine. Someone may have found a hack around this, but I doubt it.

You might think of it this way: what you're wanting to do is essentially the same as saying if I am reading e-mails on my Palm on the subway and I delete an e-mail I want it to also delete from my computer at the same time. It just doesn't work.

Why don't you skip OE and just have your Palm pull the mail directly from Yahoo?

If you have wireless on your Palm, then you can use Avantgo's Yahoo Mail channel. If you don't have wireless, then just configure Palm's mail app with the same server settings OE uses. You'll still need to delete messages off your Palm, but this is probably more convenient than having to do so in OE, considering you never use it anyway.
