I had heard rumors that Alias was going to go head-to-head with "24" in the Monday 9 p.m. timeslot. I guess the ABC execs came to their senses with this decision to make it JJ Abrams nights on ABC.

I don't recall Joss Whedon having Buffy and Angel on the same night of the week when Angel was spun off from Buffy.

Excellent News. I like the move.

While Buffy was on WB, it was paired up with Angel on Tuesday. I'm not sure what happened once Buffy went to UPN though.

Buffy and Angel were on the same night in Buffy's seasons 4 and 5 and Angel's seasons 1 and 2. When Buffy moved to UPN in 2001, Angel moved to Mondays at 9 after 7th Heaven. Dumbest. Move. Ever.

Thank god ABC is (now) smarter and didn't put Alias on mondays

Ah, I didn't watch either shows until FX started showing Buffy reruns from the beginning, so when they were shown in real time for season 4 and 5 of Buffy, I wasn't cognizant of the Buffy/Angel pairing.

Are the execs reading HTF? The Amazing Race determines that one teammate can't do every roadblock, and now ABC does what everyone's been saying they should do with Alias' time slot.

Great! I was hoping they would do this. Makes perfect sense. Funny, I used to consider Wednesdays a wasteland for TV shows now it's Mondays.

Whatever. I don't care if it airs at 3:00am on Sunday, I'm there.

Thank goodness, I would hate to keep changing the channel over and over when it had the Wedesday at 10 time slot. Would make watching Alias and CSI : NY very differcult.

I need a new signature.

I like this move. Hopefuly if means possible reruns of both Boston Legal and Alias as well with no need to dump either off the air for timeslot space and no Sunday interuptions for special broadcasts.

I'm disappointed. I liked the 9pm Sunday night slot. It was easy to be home and watch it. Wednesday at 9pm will be a harder slot to catch live, and I've gotten out of the habit of recording shows so I will have trouble catching it.

I know fans had wanted this but I didnt think they would actually do this ! Good news!

Then you must not want to watch if very much. If I had still had a Video recordere and really wanted to watch something, I would make it a habit.

I'm glad they did the move; now I'll only watch TV two nights a week (Weds for Lost/Alias, Thurs for Survivor).

They make a great double bill, and I am very interested to see where Alias will go in its 4th season. More Rambaldi, please!

www.alias-media.com for those who don't feel like retyping it with the s.

Good move.

BTW, moving Angel after 7th Heaven was a bad move, but sadly just proved how great ANGEL was in the ratings. Sure it wasn't a huge hit, but it always pulled in consistant viewers in ANY time-slot.

Today I saw an ad on the side of a bus for Season 4. It had a picture of Garner and it said "I can be anyone I want to be" Alias - the New Seasons, Wednesdays in January.

The first I had ever heard of Alias three years ago was on the side of a bus. It was an ad for the premiere with a picture of Garner with the red wig.

Looking forward to the new season.

I don't have time enough to watch all these DVDs!

I'll be in AZ when this premiers and I have plans to watch it with a friend of mine who is one of the reasons I am a fan now. We are having an ALIAS party.

I can't wait for this show. It is going to be so good!

Wednesday, January 5th. I'm not sure if it will start at 8 p.m. or 9 p.m., but two new episodes will be aired.

So in 50 words or less, what's to like about Alias? I've never seen a bit of it but have noted the ads they're running leading up to the season premiere tomorrow.

The only thing we've seen Jennifer Garner in is "13 Going On 30" which wasn't exactly a classic. Alias isn't anything like 24 is it?

Usually the only things besides the Fox Sunday night lineup that we watch are Law & Order: Criminal Intent and Cold Case. After the "Mind Hunter" episode we had to quit watching Cold Case because it was getting way too dark and disturbing. So we're kinda looking for another good show to watch in HDTV (and no, CSI doesn't qualify as "good" although they certainly have excellent production values).

Well, to like, you've got the best action sequences on TV (non-24 category), a likable lead in Jen Garner, a pretty darn good supporting cast, and absolute crazy, go-for-broke-anything-can-happen writing. The downside is an increasingly convoluted macrostory that was kind of absurd to start with. Fortunately, the word is that this season is more fun/upbeat and less soapy than the last.

Alias is a really good show for those who have never seen it. It's quality programming...and it does resemble 24 to a point. I"m extremely excited about the Alias/Lost combo! Frees up one night for me while i have an amazing Wednesday night...love it..

So who's got the scoop on the 4th season, beginning this Wednesday? Any info on what direction we can expect the show to move in? Is Quentin Tarantino coming back? I still wish they'd bring back Roger Moore.

I don't have time enough to watch all these DVDs!

ABC is playing TiVo killing games yet again. In Mountain time zone terms, Lost is airing from 7 to 8:01 as it has been for the last several episodes. Alias is airing from 8:01 to 10 for the premiere and from 8:01 to 9:02 thereafter. It looks like Law and Order will have to be a manual recording from now on with the first two minutes chopped off. I'd love it if the shows were actually longer, but the extra time is just for extra commercials.

I'd say that's more of a "still" than "again", but, yeah, it's annoying. So, Smallville and Kevin Hill will get the Replay while these get bounced to the VCR for me.

Wow, over six months without Alias! Last Spring, I didn't think I could do it. But, with just one more day 'til the new season, life is looking up again.

Of course, I've totally forgotten what transpired last season. Hopefully, tomorrow's episode will have a good refresher segment.

Alias Season Premiere

Woo! It's that time again. Let's start talking about Alias. The season premiere is tomorrow night.

In another thread DaveF says

Of course, I've totally forgotten what transpired last season. Hopefully, tomorrow's episode will have a good refresher segment.

What we know:
Lauren is dead, shot by Vaughn.
Lauren claims Sydney still doesn't know the truth about her life, but the answers are in a safety deposit box in Germany.
Syd goes to get the box, opens it and starts crying as she reads the papers. Jack walks in and says she wasn't supposed to find the papers.
Nadia and Sloane are off looking for the Sphere together (after Sloane's using of Nadia).
Vaughn and Jack seem to have more in common now than in the past (re: certain "methods" they've used to get things done).

Anyone have anything to add?

P.S. I can't wait for some good quotes from Marshall!
