I don't know which studio has this title (originally
released on VHS under KEY VIDEO), but I would love
to see Twilight's Last Gleaming released to DVD.

It was one of the last Allied Artists releases. Fox Video once had it under a Lorimar license.
It is owned by Warner Brothers.

Now that is interesting.
I'll re-edit the thread title and hope Warner
gets a look at this.
It's actually good that this is owned by Warner.
A better chance it will get released as the studio
is just flooding the market with stuff like this.

Just contacted Warner Bros. about this title.
As is always the case, they offered an immediate and
encouraging response....
Quote:
TWILIGHT is most definitely our title...
There is no immediate plan for it, but prompted by your recommendation we'll investigate the feasibility.

That's very interesting.
I have to look and see which version I have on VHS.
I believe the 144-minute version has always been
available here.
One good thing comes out of all this....
The appearance of this DVD anywhere gives a more
hopeful sign that we are closer to a domestic release.
....besides I was able to get the personal attention
of some people at Warner Bros. to get this title into
production.

John,
I am sort of surprise this title hasn't been
announced yet.
I do know for a fact Warner had been working on it.
I am guessing that it will be out in a few months.
The studio is probably waiting for the proper window
to release this DVD.

No news....then again, I haven't asked.
I was told first-hand from the studio early 2005
that it was put into production for DVD release.
I would think the title is ready to go, just
awaiting a release window.

Re: Please release "Twilight's Last Gleaming" (Warner Bros.?)
The studio says 2007. It will be released as part of an upcoming Burt
Lancaster set.

Re: Please release "Twilight's Last Gleaming" (Warner Bros.?)
Bob,
The studio has gone silent.
Last I spoke with them, the title was due for release this year.
I have to be limited in what I say here, but there was one
additional item that the studio wanted to consider that may
be coming into play here that could still preventing this release.
I am confident that this title is still in the works, but having
a little more insight into what may be happening, I think the
studio is intentionally delaying TLG in order to offer
the best possible release it can.
