Carol Burnett on TV Land

Did anyone catch the Carol Burnett and Friends marathon on TV Land this past weekend?

Such a great show; it really crossed all kinds of genre and demographic boundaries. I love my mom, but we tend to have pretty differing tastes in movies and TV, yet we can sit and watch Carol Burnett and both be on the floor.

Any other fans on these boards? I hardly ever see it discussed, so I was just wondering. Some good news, though: beginning today, the show will run on TV Land weekdays at 4pm and 8pm (EST). Of course, they're the syndicated half-hour versions with just the comedy sketches, but that was usually the best part anyway.

I'm just glad to see the show back on TV.

Great news! Thanks! I am a HUGE fan of the Carol Burnett Show. I deleted nearly everything on my Tivo Saturday night and recorded about 30 episodes on Sunday.

I hope I caught at least these two vignettes:

1. "Jowls", their spoof of "Jaws"

2. "The NonViolent Theater" presents the "Plot to Hurt Hitler".

I can't wait to go through all the episodes I recorded.

I didn't know that it would become a regular show. Tivo Season Pass.....INITIATED.

The number of times Tim Conway has successfully thrown everyone else off balance is legendary! His elephant story alone is a masterpiece of improvisation!

Re: Carol Burnett on TV Land

Bits with Korman & Conway are still some of the funniest things I've ever seen. I wish I had quite a few of those. This is one of those shows I wish was still on the air a TV Land regular or something.
