Bloom County was a splendid strip. I stil have my 'Billy and the boingers' record.
After it was pulled they came out with another strip - I think it was called 'outland' by the same author. I never really thought it was any good, though it included many of the same characters.
BC had some splendid strips, the anxiety closet, the star trek wheelchair and Bill the Cat being some of my favorites.
Martin Luther observed that the human race is like a drunkard who falls off his horse on the left and makes up for it by falling off the next time on the right.

It was great having Berkeley Breathed back in the Sunday paper again!
This is a link to an interview with BB done by the cartoonist of the local paper. Thought you all might find it interesting:

I loved Bloom County. So much so, that my dog is named Binkley!

I owned all the books. What a great series!
