I would not want to be a woman because I already am not one. Neither gender is "better" (seems like people here who are making that judgement are guessing what it's like to be the other gender with a heavy emphasis on their own prejudices.

Being white is not better than being black, but I would not want to be black. I would not want to be gay, or born into a family of a different religion, or born wealthy or dirt poor, or have a smaller or bigger body frame. I would not want different color eyes or hair or to be shorter or taller.

All of these things make up who I am. If any were to change, then the unique entity that is ME would not exist in the universe. Of course that means little to anyone else, but it means everything to me.

If you had been born a different gender, you would be a [i]completely different person[i]. I can't imagine a world without me in it.

This was my sig:


I put it together using images of the same woman who is an assassin in a series of movies that came out in the early 70's called "Lone Wolf and Cub". The female assassin in particular was featured in the episode titled Lone Wolf and Cub: Baby Cart in Peril. In the episode the Lone Wolf is hired to kill the female assassin.

The female assassin had herself tattooed front and back after losing in a duel against a shogun who had an original way of defeating his foes.





The shogun had an unbeatable technique in which he would wield his sword and a flame would erupt from it(very ROTK witch king-ish).



It was very distracting and enticing at the same time. His opponents had a hard time looking away from the flame sword and as a result they would be slain.

Do you see where this is going? The female assassin did one better, moved to the next level and had her tattoos applied because she knew that she could provide an even greater distraction when facing opponents than a mere flame. She used her sexuality as a weapon by often fighting with her breats exposed. While the man used a flame the woman used her body and eventually

the woman was able to slay the shogun because he hadn't known many years after their first encounter that she had her tattoos. When he showed her the flame, she exposed her breats to him and in that moment when he looked at them she killed him. In the end, the Lone Wolf was able to kill the female assassin but without here exposing herself to him in order to win and for that she was glad.


While we might not face shoguns with flame swords and female assassins with arousing tattoos any more in our modern world, sexuality is still used as a weapon, a tool and a means by which to acquire. So while the methods aren't the same, the purpose, to achieve a certain goal through enticement and/or arousal, is still the same.

I admit I am guilty of this, but after much reflection I don't think it's entirely for either of the reasons given. This reminds me of something our High School Principal once told some of us.

He said that breaking up a fight between 2 girls was harder than breaking up a fight between 2 guys. We had a few of each during my high school days, and the fights that were between the 2 girls seemed to always result in the most physical injury.

I wonder if its because guys do a lot of pushing and shoving and talking and its easier to spot a fight when it is about to break out where as girls use finger nails as weapons and go for the eyes and the hair.

As to the original question, I think its really a wash. I think that there are advantages to being a man and advantages to being a woman and if I were born a woman, I think that the advantages I gained would be balanced out by the advantages lost leaving me with nothing else but the own personal choices that I make in my life.

Basically, I've got to think that its 6 to 1 half a dozen to the other.
