Denon 900 vs. Denon 1600

Hi, I'm looking to update my dvd player (Pioneer 414 from '99). And the reviews I have read have given the Denon 900 and the Denon 1600 great marks, with the 1600 getting better. I want to upgrade because my 414 is four years old and not progressive scan. (It's connected to a Mitzubshi HDTV)
Anybody own these players and what do you think of the picture quality. Picture quality is what I am most focused on. Any thoughts are appreciated!

Martin, I have read very little about the '900, but what I have read is mixed. On the other hand, I have read nothing but stellar reviews of the '1600 for both audio and video. Check out comments here and on AVS Forum. The '1600 should beat the '900 for video, and the '1600 does DVD-Audio to boot.
