Acrophobia, best free online game ever, is back!

It's a multiplayer "game show" where the object is to make a sentence out of a group of letters given as an acronym. Then the players vote on the best one. When someone reaches 30 points, the top two people in the room have a "Face Off" round.

The game disappeared a few years ago and seemed unlikely to return, but www.uproar.com FINALLY put it back up. (Under game shows, word games.) If you see CTRobot playing, that's me.

There aren't many playing yet, and even the best are frequently very bad at it, so give it a try!

I smoke at both Acro and Get The Picture. I'll be playing this SOON. Look for Pharmboy, or some variation, that'll be me.

Re: Acrophobia, best free online game ever, is back!

I agree. Acrophobia was the best online game ever!!!!! I used to spend hours playing it. For the last few years though i couldn't find it anywhere until i found this post. Uproar does not host the game anymore but it does have a few links to where you can find similar (still not the same thing) versions to play.
Thanks for helping me find one of the best games ever! Until the original comes back ill just practice my skills on acrowars.

Acrophobia was the first on line game I ever played back in the 90's. It was awesome. I'm so glad it's back on line.

The uproar site is no longer working. But you can now play the acrophobia game. This is a web-based version and lots of fun!
