Kevin Collins is director of HD DVD Evangelism for the Consumer Media Technology Group at Microsoft Corp. He specializes in all aspects of the development of the HD DVD-Video specification and HDi, the interactive layer for HD DVD. 

Collins is currently responsible for HD DVD technical marketing and evangelism, and is one of the primary stakeholders representing Microsoft in the HD DVD North America Promotion Group.  Since joining the Consumer Media Technology group two years ago Collins has been instrumental in finalizing the HD DVD-Video specification, particularly in the areas of interactivity. He continues to stay involved in all aspects of the HD DVD specification within the DVD Forum, participating in the WG-1 (work group responsible for publishing the HD DVD-Video specification), TCG (Technical Coordinating Group) and SC (Steering Committee). Additionally, Collins works with Hollywood studios and post houses assisting in the authoring and production of HD DVD titles. At Microsoft, Collins is heavily involved in the development and progression of the HD DVD interactive engine (HDi) and actively works with Hollywood studios and post houses around adoption of HDi.
