Robert Meyer Burnett
Growing up in Seattle, the initial test market for laserdiscs, Robert Meyer Burnett began his fascination with home video after glimpsing his first laserdisc back in 1978 while still in elementary school. Free Enterprise, his award-winning directorial debut, starring Emmy winners William Shatner and Eric McCormack was released in 1999. The original Pioneer Entertainment release was the first DVD he ever worked on.In 2000, he joined content producers Kurtti-Pellerin, where he worked on such DVD Special Editions as the Fantasia Anthology, The Emporer's New Groove, Snow White, Tron, The Fellowship of the Ring, and the Two Towers. In 2002, he formed his own company, Ludovico Technique, named after the behavior modification techniques seen in A Clockwork Orange. Ludovico worked on such titles as The Usual Suspects, Valley Girl, X-Men 1.5, X2, The Lion, The Witch, and The Wardrobe, Superman Returns, and Shoot 'Em Up. The company has also published the comic book miniseries Living In Infamy, currently being developed into a feature film by Leonardo DiCaprio's Appian Way.
In 2003 and '04, he developed and co-produced both Agent Cody Banks features. Currently Ludovico teamed up with Warner Premiere and Dark Castle to produce its first feature film, The HIlls Run Red, shot on location over the summer of 2008 in Sophia, Bulgaria.
