After one day of play, I think Midtown Madness 3 has crept into my top 5 (see above), knocking Kelly Slater out of the bottom slot, taking over 4th...it's likely to move up a few places as I get further into it.
I recently purchased an XBOX and have only played 10 games so far. Here's the order in which I liked them.
1. Conflict Desert Storm - I liked being able to control a small group instead of a single person and give them different tasks for the mission.
2. Medal of Honor Frontline - The big street battle scene, with the haunting music in the background is the best bit I've played so far.
3. Need For Speed 2 - In first person. In third person I couldn't control the car at all.
4. 007 - Agent Under Fire - Really enjoyed the scenes controlling the car.
5. Sega GT - Came with the console, but I like it.
6. Obiwan - I liked replaying some of the Phantom Menace scenes, but the game was very reptitive and flat, basically spending all the time deflecting laser blasts with the light saber.
7. Jedi Starfighter - Really disappointing, especially compared with Roque Squadron on PC which was fun. This was slow and ponderous and didn't feel 3D at all.
8. Jedi Outcast - The game of a thousand deaths. The only game to give me incredible eye strain so I didn't last very long.
9. JetSetRadioFuture - Came with the XBOX. I haven't played this much and have no idea what was going on.
10. Indiana Jones and the Emperor's Tomb - I bought XBOX for this reason, and I love the Indy movies, so this game was extra disappointing. While the scenery was lovely, the game was very boring and repetitive. Jump, swing, pull lever, shoot bad guys, jump, swing, pull lever. Jumping was extremely frustrating with such clunky controls, the camera moved so much during fight scenes that I lost track of everybody (including Indy sometimes). There was never an option of where to go. One door opens, you go through, pull the lever and go through the next door. I didn't get the sense I was on a glorious mission. There was no wonder or adventure really.
Thanks for listing your favs. I now know what to get next.
these i own... -Halo -NFL 2K3 -Splinter Cell (very cool)
dont own... -Panzer Dragoon Orta -Morrowind (very very big game, so dont get unless you have plenty of time to play) I do have this on PC -Return to castle wolfenstein -Hitman 2
I've been playing this game for quite a while now. I like the game for it's replay value. It also gives a nice "quick-fix" for a 15 minute session. I think this game is just fantastic.
