A genre I've always been entirely uninterested in. I've seen one, maybe two westerns in my life, and I couldn't tell you what they were. Unless you count Blazing Saddles.

Probably my favorite genre.

1. Unforgiven
2. The Man Who Shot Liberty Valance
3. Rio Bravo
4. The Wild Bunch
5. The Searchers
6. Red River
7. The Good, The Bad, and The Ugly
8. High Plains Drifter
9. Tombstone
10. Open Range

I'm probably forgetting some, and pretty much everything within the 2-7 range is interchangable, that's just the order I was feeling at the time.

I'm really surprised that aside from Jim's extra large list, I'm the only one that put High Noon on their list. Its easily my favorite classic western.

I thought about it Brook, but I’ve not seen it in so long, that I decided to let it go this time.

i just saw ONCE UPON A TIME IN THE WEST and all i can say is....W O W...
Best semi-blind buy i've ever made!!

I'm not too familiar with many westerns, but ones that i've enjoyed were....

Once Upon A Time In The West (Duh)
Tombstone
The Good, The Bad, And The Ugly
Dances With Wolves
Unforgiven
----------------------------------
those would be the greats that i've SEEN

others that i liked, although are not exactly to be taken seriously were....

The Quick & The Dead (Sam Raimi dir.)
Young Guns
Last Man Standing
Back To The Future III
Open Range
Silverado

I want to check out The Wild Bunch, The Searchers, The Magnificent Seven and Butch Cassidy & The Sundance Kid
