I have a V2600 that is pushng 3 Polk 4ohm speakers for the fronts and two Klipsch 8ohm speakers for the surrounds. I am in need of upgrading the rears and am thinking of upgrading them to match the fronts which would mean I would be pushing 5 (4ohm) speakers using the Yamaha at 130 watts X 7. Is my receiver powerful enough to do the job? I already have to turn it up halfway when watching a movie.

Thanks for the input.

I wouldn’t do it. Very few HT receivers are designed to handle 4-ohm speakers. I’m surprised you’ve haven’t had any problems with the three you’re using.

Actually I am suprised that you are suprised I am already not having trouble. Before I purchaed the speaker/reciever combination I asked about having issues and everyone responded that it was not a big deal to run three with that powerful of a receiver.
