Can anyone tell me if the X-box HD video adapter will allow you to output a component video signal that is not progressive- ie: 480i instead of 480P??

Yes, it will put out 480i. All setup screens are 480i only. (XDASH, not game specific setup screens.)

    Thanks Stacey!
I rented an X-box for the weekend and would like to use it on my non-HD set, but would still like to use the component input of the set. So, I'll buy the HD adaptor, and keep it for when I purchase the system.
    Marc.
