Its actually not me, it's my g/f's dad. He was a cheap Pioneer HT in a box set but it was DTS and Dolby Digital decoders. For a while now, he's thought that he couldn't get 5.1 because his DVD player didn't have the output. However, about a week ago I looked at his DVD player and it had "DTS digital out" and "Dolby Digital" insignias on it. I looked on the back and I saw the "AC-3" on the back. The DVD uses optical out, so why isn't he able to get 5.1??? I starred at the back for like 10 minutes and I couldn't understand what the problem was. Please help....it's very frustrating!
