WARNER HOME VIDEO UNVEILS TWO NEW SETS OF RARE LOONEY TUNES ANIMATED SHORTS STARRING BUGS BUNNY AND DAFFY DUCK NEWLY REMASTERED AND NEVER BEFORE RELEASED ON DVD Must Own Collections Available August 10, 2010 Include Looney Tunes Super Stars: Bugs Bunny Hare Extraordinaire and Looney Tunes Super Stars: Daffy Duck Frustrated Fowl BURBANK, CA (May 24, 2010) – Bugs Bunny and Daffy Duck are the big stars of Warner Home Video’s (WHV) latest Looney Tunesreleases available in stores August 10, 2010. Titled Looney Tunes Super Stars: Bugs Bunny Hare Extraordinaire and Looney Tunes Super Stars: Daffy Duck Frustrated Fowl, these releases are the first in a new series of WHV DVD collections that celebrate popular Looney Tunescharacters. Each title is comprised of 15 newly remastered from original film elements, classic theatrical shorts (over two hours of content on each) new to DVD. Sold separately, each release will retail for $19.98 SRP. Looney Tunes Super Stars: Bugs Bunny Hare Extraordinaire is devoted to everyone’s favorite carrot-crunching, “wascally wabbit.” Fifteen theatrical cartoons have found their way out of the vaults and onto this hilarious compilation. Included are Lumber Jack-Rabbit, which was directed by Chuck Jones and is the only Warner Bros. cartoon short produced in 3-D. The good times roll with Looney Tunes Super Stars: Daffy Duck Frustrated Fowl. This DVD is entirely devoted to that smart-aleck duck. Fifteen theatrical shorts are featured on this side-splitting compilation. Included is People are Bunny, which parodies Art Linkletter’s showPeople are Funny. Also featured is This is a Life?, which is a spoof the classic TV series This is Your Life, where Elmer Fudd parodies host Ralph Edwards. A parody of Edward R. Murrow’s TV series Person to Person is also featured on a short titled Person to Bunny. Both Looney Tunes Super Stars: Bugs Bunny Hare Extraordinaire and Looney Tunes Super Stars: Daffy Duck Frustrated Fowl feature a mix of both Looney Tunes and Merrie Melodies shorts directed by such legendary animators as Friz Freleng, Bob Clampett, Chuck Jones, Robert McKimson, Frank Tashlin and others. Because the Daffy Duck shorts featured on the DVD are not edited for content, it is more suited for the adult collector than for young viewers. “Cartoon fans won’t want to miss these two collections filled with un-edited and re-mastered versions of classic Bugs Bunny and Daffy Duck shorts that were originally released theatrically during animation’s golden age,” said Amit Desai, WHV Vice President of Family, Animation and Partner Brands Marketing. He added, “Our goal is to continue searching our vaults for animated gems such as these to surprise and please even the most experienced of cartoon connoisseurs.” Looney Tunes Super Stars: Bugs Bunny Hare Extraordinaire Looney Tunes Superstars: Daffy Duck Frustrated Fowl Mutiny on the Bunny Tick Tock Tuckered Bushy Hare Nasty Quacks Hare We Go Daffy Dilly Foxy by Proxy Wise Quackers Hare Trimmed The Prize Pest Lumber Jack-Rabbit Design for Leaving Napoleon Bunny-Part Stork Naked Bedevilled Rabbit This Is a Life?
