This is the one I will be purchasing. I've been a fan of the (Boston / Bay State(!) / New England) Patriots since the 1966-1967 season. I loved Julius Adams and Daryl Stingley, among others. My earliest memories are of Cappelletti, Taliaferro, and Nance. When Fairbanks got on the scene, we really started to make a move. That 11-5 year in the 1970s was astounding to fans of the Pats, since before then we had frequently been 2-12, 3-11, 4-10, etc. I don't recall the Holovak years very well. The first coach I recall vividly was Clive Rush.

I remember a neat story from when I was around 13-14 years old. My grandfather, who worked as a police officer and worked some of the Patriots' games back in the early 1970s, brought me to Schaeffer Stadium during the off season. He only lived a couple of miles from Route 1, so it was an easy jaunt. I actually got to go onto the field. How I wish I had had a football with me. It would have been a blast attempting yet another 63-yard field goal. [IMG]

I see that they are calling it "The Snow Game" in the collection. Fans affectionately refer to that one as "The Snow Plow Game," unless it's another game that they are highlighting. The one I am thinking of has to do with Henderson coming onto the field to clear a patch of grass for John Smith. The Patriots defeated the Shula-led Dolphins 3-0 on that day. [IMG]

I'm pretty sure the Snow Game was in the playoffs against the Raiders in '02, when the ref overruled a fumble called against Brady after reviewing the instant replay. Pats went on to win the game in OT, and rest, as they say, is history.

    Dave,

Yes, good call! I haven't heard that game referred to as that. I hope that the Snow Plow game is referenced somewhere in the set as well. [IMG]

I was about to begin a separate topic on this, and then found this thread...

Wow -- I have been a diehard Pats fan since the Boston days of their "Pat the Patriot" logos splashed on everything; hands down the best helmet/team logo in the history of the 'League. I have been looking for something like this to recap the history of the team...

Where can this two disc set be purchased?

The best logo in the history of all sports period. However I also really like the "flying Elvis". I'd rate the newer logo the second best in the history of sports.

    Let's go Pats, Sox, C's & B's!

UGHHHH!!! I hate the Flying Elvis...[IMG]

I love the original logo and wish they would bring that uniform back; those were the days Eason, Grogan and James were on the team...I also love the old original Tampa Bay logo...
