Who would I ask to release the following movies?
THE MAID (1991) with Martin Sheen
HARRY AND TONTO (1974) with Art Carney
BYE-BYE BRAZIL (1980)

If you're sure they're not already on DVD, it never hurts to look for the issuing studio in the VHS format and work from there. In this case, according to the title entries for VHS at Amazon.com:

The Maid ---Anchor Bay Entertainment
Harry and Tonto ---Twentieth Century Fox
Bye-Bye Brazil ---Fox Lorber

Of course, it is not necessarily the case that, because a home video company owns rights to a given property in the VHS format, it will also have the rights for the DVD, but you can at least start from there.

The last time I used your suggested approach, which was months ago, I came up with the following :
The Maid - Starmaker
Harry & Tonto - Facet Video
Bye-Bye Brazil - WinStar Home Entertainment.
Do you think I should ask Fox (for Fox Lorber) to release Harry & Tonto? Or am I bein naive?
