I don't own the Panic Room DVD, but I rented it, and I definitely recall seeing a lot of artifacts, including mosquito noise.

I have very specific recollection of this due to the fact that it was a Superbit title and received very high marks for video quality from Widescreen Review.

Charlie O., I own both versions of John Carpenter's Vampires, and I thought that the Superbit should have been much better than it was.

As far as I could tell it was the same transfer (which isn't horrible, but does have some issues), with an improved bit rate. The transfer was ok, but nothing to write home about.

The DTS soundtrack was nice, but not great.

I'm a big fan of the movie, so I don't mind owning both versions. Unless you're like me, I would say spend your money on something else.
