Which sub $500 receiver for HT (1 Viewer)

I need to get a receiver and would like to spend less then $500. I will use this for HT only.

Considering:

Outlaw 1050

Denon 1802

Marantz 5200

Any suggestions?

They're all fine receivers. I don't believe the Outlaw has DPLII so I'd eliminate it for that reason. [You may as well purchase a unit that features the most current processing.] Next I'd suggest buying on what your music/HT percentage may be. If you'll listen to more music that HT or around 50/50, I'd go with the Marantz. If more movies than go with the Denon.

Most important though is what the receivers sound like to you. You'll have to trust others on the Outlaw but most cities will have Denon and Marantz dealers. Listen for yourself and pick what you think sounds best.
