I want a reasonably priced digital TV. I said before I wanted to pay no more than $1000, but after some research I realize that if I want a good TV I have to be willing to pay more.
These are two that I am looking at:

The Pasonic one is $100 cheaper. They both seem really similar, so its hard to choose.
I plan on using the TV for pretty much everything - tv shows, DVDs, and videogames.

You can't go wrong with the Panasonic. I just got the 53" model for 1730 delivered + tax from BB...and I've been impressed so far.

I don't know about the Samsung though...I've never looked at one.

Relating to your other posts... Understand, there is still going to be overscan on the sides. But it will be a much nicer and larger picture.

Yes I realize all TVs have overscan, but I'm sure that my Sharp TV has more than most. I talked to a few other Sharp owners, and they said they had anywhere from 10-15% overscan on their TVs.
