Hello,
I'm curious which audio output on my DVD player (PAN CP72) would be the best to use? The player has optical digital out and multi-channel audio out (FL, FR, Surr. L, Surr. R, Center, Sub).

I would have to get a new receiver to use either one of those, but just wondering which would be best if I do?

Thanks,

Brian, the multi-channel out is mainly used for DVD-Audio. If you're not interested in that, then the optical out would probably be a better bet, due to the likelihood of your receiver having better DD/DTS decoding than the '72.
