Big Country - The Crossing (remastered)
Chuck:

Is this remaster any good? I've heard the Steeltown remaster (German import) and didn't really feel like the sonics were substantially better than the original CD. Man, I haven't listened to these guys in a while, and I haven't heard their stuff from the '90s at all. Any of it worth a listen? I also didn't know that Stuart Adamson (sp?) died.

It's been so many years since I last bought a CD that I'm not 100% sure. Off the top of my head Toni Braxton Secrets (1996) Mariah Carey Butterfly (1997, terrible CD) Snoop Dogg Da game is to sold, not to be told (1998, anything but a classic). There were probably a couple of others but over the past ten years or so my CD purchases have been few and far between.

I haven't heard anything after Peace in Our Time (1988). IMO, nothing of theirs is half as good as The Crossing, though Steeltown and The Seer have some good songs.

U2: Best of 1990-2000
Ben Folds: Ben Folds Live
Prince: One Night Alone (3 CD live box set)

I was really excited about the Prince set, because the track list had some great songs (Starfish & Coffee, Adore, etc). Unfortunately, most of those tracks aren't the full songs, instead he simply flows from one to the next after one verse. I knew he frequently did this live with stuff live Purple Rain and his other big hits, but I was hoping for full live tracks of some of his older, lesser known stuff.
