I am definitely excited to watch Ocean's Eleven. This has got to be the best cast ever. Going to be there on opening day. Also I am thrilled to watch the Tom Cruise movie Vanilla Sky and the new Russell Crowe movie A beautiful Mind.

I'll second The Royal Tenenbaums.
Because Soderberg directed it, Ocean's 11 will probably be high on my list. I saw a trailer for Zoolander with Ben Stiller and it looks like ascream. I expect I'll go see that too the day it comes out.
I read Possesion as part of a book group so out of curiosity I'll go see it.
The trailer for From Hell looked very cool so I'll go see it.
I love the Coen Brothers so I will go see The Man Who Wasn't There.
Gangs of New York looked dumb, but since it's Scorcese I'll give it a chance.
I'll have to wait for a Fall Preview magazine article to decide on the rest.
I have never read any Tolken or Harry Potter, so unless the movies get rave reviews I probably won't go.
Oh yeah, there's a new Richard Linkletter movie coming out that I'll go see. (In fact there may be two Linletter films coming out).

For the first time in reference to his films (or any films, really), I find myself sort of wishing he had neglected historical accuracy and done a little revisioning with respect to costume. I simply cannot see a street tough wearing a tall tophat. It adds an unintentionally ridiculous aspect to the aesthetic. But, regardless, I'm still all over it.

I agree, Gangs of New York looks like a dud.
I'm looking forward to From Hell. It has the potential to be a dandy Jack the Ripper movie. Can't wait.

I know Mitty, combined with the Payne Stewart-esque golfer pants it looks positively ridiculous, but it is Scorsese so for me, a must-see.
My own are:
Amelie From Montmartre
The Man Who Wasn't There
The Royal Tenenbaums
LOTR

There are also several foreign films that I am waiting for, but I'm not sure if they will have a North American release this fall.

Gangs of New York right now is my only must see. Everything else will be dealt with on a mood basis.

Fellowship is definitely #1 for me. Then maybe Ocean's Eleven I guess From Hell is another that im anticipating. Im also very interested in seeing Gangs of New York, but when I saw that trailer what the hell was with Leonardo's voice, that was a far way from Irish.
