In no order and, as always, subject to change:
Vertigo--Hitchcock
Rear Window--Hitchcock
Three Colors trilogy--Kieslowski
The 400 Blows--Truffaut
This is Spinal Tap--Reiner
Metropolitan--Stillman
Citizen Kane--Welles
The Godfather--Coppola
Nashville--Altman
Stranger Than Paradise--Jarmusch
The Kieslowski films seem like one to me, so that's how I'm counting them.

Virtually impossible for me to pick just ten or even twenty -- there's just too many great movies -- so here's ten plus, spanning the 1940's-90's, from my list of 50-100 all-time favorites:
Bicycle Thief
Lenny
The Devils
Two For the Road
Jean De Florette/Manon of the Spring
Nashville
The Conversation
Star Wars
Raiders of the Lost Ark
Singin' in the Rain
Husbands and Wives
Gallipoli
It's A Wonderful Life
Moonlighting
Slacker
Treasure of the Sierra Madre

Some very interesting lists here!
I must say that I am surprised that nobody has listed Dances with Wolves as one of their top 10 movies. Even though it didnt make my list either, it probably would have made my top 15!

He had a plan. Maybe you just didn't see it 'til it hit you between the eyes. But, it started to make sense... in a Tyler sort of way. No fear. No distractions. The ability to let that which does not matter truly slide.
