Whats the story is not a great SACD
I was really expecting more from this SACD, but I probably shouldn't have as the redbook CD doesn't possess excellent sound. No matter though, like you said, the music's great!

I can't believe no one has mentioned John Coltrane's "Soultrane" from Mobile Fidelity...it sounds amazing!:emoji_thumbsup:

Lee,

The Tiernay Sutton SACD is wonderful. Telarc did a great job, and I am becoming a big fan of theirs. She has a wonderful and sultry voice.

Definitely underrated in the "popular press" enjoy.

Just got "Blonde on Blonde" and loving it! I got that "Sympathy for the Devil" EP and liking that, too. Best remix is Fatboy Slim's 8-minute version.

Wes,

I am all for varied music tastes, but I do feel obligated to warn others here that the Aerosmith Just Push Play has some terrible sonics (to my ears anyway).

The Estefan discs are superb though.

Chris Whitley - Perfect Day
Beck - Sea Change
Vivaldi/Rachel Podger - La Stravaganza
Stones - Beggars Banquet
Bob Dylan - various, but Love & Theft in particular.I think its one his best and I love the multi-channel mix.
I also fully expect to add the Britton cello disc from Channel Classics if my order ever arrives.

Regards
KrisM

Trust me, Wes is not kidding. He is probably one of the world's biggest Gloria Estefan fans.

Awhile back myself with the Bruce Springsteen fan club and Wes with the Gloria fan club almost got a protest together at Sony corporate in Japan for more SACD releases from these artists

Aerosmith's greatest hits - (stereo)

I can't wait for Toys in the Attic in 5.1! Can't seem to find it yet, although I think it was released today.

I don't own too many, but my fav right now is:

Beck - Sea Change

This is the best sounding audio disc I've ever heard, ever. That's not saying too much, but it just blows me away, makes me thankful every time I hear it that I bought Ascends!

Mingus Ah Um is incredible too.
