So, what artist and album are you most likely to annoy the cat and neighbors with?

For me its Crystal Method-Vegas.

There are certain classic rock favorites that are automatic "turn it up" moments for me:

Deep Purple - Who Do We Think We Are?

Montrose - Selftitled release

Boston - Their first one

Anything by Ted Nugent, ZZ Top

10cc - Dreadlock Holiday (for some reason I must have this cranked)

I'm no longer a fan of really loud music. old. But... The Who can never be turned up enough. I just have the grtest hits, but it must be played very very loud or not at all.

If I had to pick just one, well...

Van Halen (Van Halen)

Others that tend to get played louder include:

Are You Experienced (The Jimi Hendrix Experience) - especially Third Stone from the Sun
Disraeli Gears (Cream)
In Utero (Nirvana)
L.A. Woman (The Doors)
Facelift / Alice in Chains (Alice in Chains)
Physical Grafitti (Led Zeppelin)
Let it Bleed (The Rolling Stones)
Purple (Stone Temple Pilots)
Brothers in Arms (Dire Straits)

- Walter.

Abbey Road by The Beatles. And the last time I did it after 10:00pm, the neighbors called the police on me...
Wow...your neighbors are pretty serious. Abby Road is my favorite Beatles album and I always crank it, too.I was living in an apartment building years ago and one night, "I Want You To Want Me" by Cheap Trick came on the radio, and I cranked the volume (but just for that one song). I think it was around midnight and my speakers were mounted near the ceiling, which didn't help. My upstairs neighbor complained to management about me the next day, and I got a call from them. At least he didn't call the cops! I was much more careful about volume levels after that.Recently, I was listening to some ELO that I hadn't heard in a while, and had it turned up pretty loud. I'm not in an apartment anymore, so volume is not an issue.

When I was younger, it was everything.

As I got older, I found I had less tolerance for loud music.

Allman Brothers Band - At Fillmore East
Ana Popovic - Unconditional
Chicago Transit Authority
CSNY - 4 Way Street (disc 2)
Derek Trucks Band - Live at the Georgia Theater
Tab Benoit & Jimmy Thackery - Whiskey Store Live

And this one is weird, but ...
Rachmaninov Piano Concertos Nos. 2 & 4 [Ashkenazy]

Edit: What age dropped from the list for me is everything Led Zeppelin. I still like them, but I don't put them on and crank it any more.

Mine are:

Live 79 (Hawkwind)

Warrior on the Edge of Time (Hawkwind)

Some Enchanted Evening (Blue Oyster Cult)

Rainbow Rising (Rainbow)

Ballads & Blues (Gary Moore)
Rainbow Rising would be one of my choices too- doesn’t get any better than the last two songs on the album cranked up- Stargazer and A Light In The Black.

A few of my choices-

The Who- Quadrophenia
Iron Maiden- Powerslave (Rime Of The Ancient Mariner must be cranked)
Rush- A Farewell To Kings (Xanadu)
Metallica- Master Of Puppets
