    THE ROOFTOP
    Writer/Director/Star Jay Chou’s Genre-Bending Action/Comedy Featuring 11 Musical Numbers,
Debuts on Blu-ray™, DVD and Digital December 10th

PLANO, TEXAS. (October 22, 2013) – Taiwanese pop sensation Jay Chou (The Green Hornet, The Viral Factor), drawing on his years as an actor, director, and recording star, creates a fantasy playground of music, moves, and magic as a backdrop to an action comedy which pays homage to the wondrous musicals of the past, while exploding to life with today’s sound and spirit in THE ROOFTOP, debuting on Blu-ray™, DVD and Digital December 10th from Well Go USA Entertainment. Described as “Writer-director Chou's ambitious Luhrmann-esque merging of musical numbers, kung fu, vaudeville and dippy romance is set in a candy-colored world with a deliberately retro vibe. (Think afros, polyester, vintage cars and bowling.)” by The Los Angeles Times, Chou composed 11 original tunes for this buoyant musical. In addition to Chou, THE ROOFTOP stars Alan Ko (Goodbye May), Eric Tsang (Ip Man: The Final Fight), Wang Xue Qi (Iron Man 3, Reign of Assassins), Fan Xu (Saving General Yang, Back to 1942), and newcomer Hsin Ai Lee.

    Synopsis:
Gao (Jay Chou) and his friends are the happiest kids in the city of Galilee. Living on the rooftops of this bustling metropolis, sometimes life can be tough, but they still churn out songs all day, and dance under the stars at night. But when Gao meets his dream girl, a billboard beauty named Sian (Hsin Ai Lee), fate takes him on a wild ride through the high and low parts of the town he loves - where tales of friendship, romance, and gang rivalry are all told through enchanting melodies and stunning dance numbers.

THE ROOFTOP has a runtime of approximately 120 minutes and is not rated.
