The Disclaimer

Standard disclaimer: All prices are taken from the websites of each chain, or from their printed Sunday advertisements. All prices are subject to change by each chain. Prices and inventory in-store may or may not match the website price.

I, obviously, cannot include EVERY title released in a given week in the RoundUp. The titles included are those that I am interested in...as well as those which I consider will be of interest to a majority of consumers (and sometimes I’ll miss one!). I don't get paid for this, and I don't have the time to list every DVD. So, please don't complain!
If there is a title not included in the RoundUp that you want to see, PLEASE just look it up yourself, and be nice enough to post and share the results with everyone!

Note that I cannot include Wal-Mart/Sam’s Club prices in the RoundUp. They set prices at individual stores based on nearby competition, so there is no way I can say here what price you'll find at YOUR local Wal-Mart/Sam’s Club location. And, Circuit City is still out of business...even in Hawaii (where they NEVER guaranteed their prices anyway).

Thanks Mike! I'm going to wait for Matt's review of Take me Home Tonight before I take the plunge on that. Some great sales this week on titles I already own (500 Days of Summer, Scott Pilgrim, and more)

Somehow, I never ended up owning Bridget on DVD...so that one's easy for me.

But I DO have Amelie on DVD...but something about that $13.99 price is tempting. It's just a "pretty" movie--stunning visuals--that I think the upgrade to HD will be well worth it.

That is a great price for Amelie, I don't think I can wait for it to eventually drop to $9.99. Just that for new releases, I still have a few Criterions that I will be looking for in the next few days. A wonderfully complete roundup as always, Mike, thanks for everything.

Thanks for another WRU, Mike.

I've got Amelie coming from the recent Deep Discount sale (for ~$11.70 shipped). Will probably add Chocolat and upgrade Bridget when their prices come down -- maybe at the $10 level as many such catalog titles seem to do pretty quickly these days.

Will probably pick up Beauty and the Beast and some other Criterions from the B&N sale in these next couple weeks -- I've got some Amex rewards points funded GCs earmarked for them.

Still need to get Rango from somewhere (w/ the $5 coupon).

Also, think I'm gonna see about making a run (probably to B&H) to pick up a Maxell BD laser lens cleaner to see if that will solve my problem w/ some playback issue I'm seeing on my Panny BD60 -- and maybe, it'll solve the problem w/ my old PS3 as well.

I look at the titles listed and wonder...why all these doom and gloom reports of the drop in DVD sales? Ummmm, maybe because the highest profile title is Melrose Place! Just a "catch-up" week again! But there ARE a couple great titles being released soon that are getting me excited: Criterion's Island of Lost Souls and the Laurel And Hardy set just announced!

Picked up Amelie yesterday at Borders clearance price for under $11, so that will be good for me this week.

Was happy with getting Amelie from Amazon for $13.99, until I saw that Houston-area Fry's (and others, I assume) have it and this week's other Miramax/Lionsgate releases for - wait for it - $7.99!!!

At that price, went ahead and picked up Chocolat and Boy In The Striped Pajamas.

Prices should be good through Monday, so if you live near a Fry's, make haste and go get your Miramax Blu on!

Wow! I really need to move out to the West Coast just so I can hit Fry's now and then...

Well, I finally got around to dropping by BB this evening (just before store closing) and picked up the Rango BD for ~$10+tax (using BB's $5-off-$14.99 coupon *and* the $5 MFR coupon). Also ended up picking up Chocolat BD for ~$10+tax (using another BB $5 coupon). Didn't have time to pick up anything else -- will probably return in the coming week for some other ~$15 titles like Blues Brothers BD and maybe Bridget Jones if that's still ~$15.
