Standard disclaimer: All prices are taken from the websites of each chain, or from their printed advertisements, the Sunday of the week of release (so as to catch any week-of-release sale prices). All prices are subject to change by each chain. Prices and inventory in-store may or may not match the website price. If a price is marked "$_N/A_" in the grid, it means that this title is not shown as available on that chain's website or perhaps in their ads...but it COULD still be in-stores!

$_"LP" means the advertisement says "Low Price", and $_"HP" means the advertisement says "Hot Price". Use of either of these in the Roundup grid indicates that I could not locate a definite price for the item, and the ad is all I have to go on. Retailers use these phrases in advertisements so that they do not violate MAP (Minimum Advertised Price) agreements with the studios. Doing so can cost them thousands or even millions of dollars in co-op advertising funds.

I only include the titles I feel like including (or the ones Dave tells me he's looking for ;o)). In fact, the titles are pretty much the ones I'm personally interested in, with few exceptions. I don't get paid for this, and I don't have time to devote to doing every DVD. So, please don't complain. If there is a title not included in the Roundup that you want to see, just look it up yourself, and be nice enough to post and share the results with everyone...like Dave & I do!

Note that Circuit City does not guarantee their sale prices in Hawaii. Also note that I cannot include Wal-Mart/Sam’s Club prices in the standard Roundup: they set prices at individual stores based on nearby competition, so there is not a way I can say here what price you'll find at YOUR local Wal-Mart/Sam’s Club location. When it comes to Wal-Mart/Sam’s Club prices mentioned at all, just remember that "Your Mileage May Vary".

**BE CAREFUL! The Perfect Score is available in both OAR and MAR versions...get the correct one!!!

--Amazon is still featuring free shipping on orders over $25. Restrictions apply.

--Best Buy is offering a deal in which if you buy Cold Mountain this week, you may also purchase The Others (reg. $14.99) for just $5.

--Best Buy is also offering up a joint purchase of Barbershop 2 ($16.99) and Friday (reg. $14.99) for 2/$25.

--and, Best Buy is also offering up deals on the South Park season sets. Season 4 = $29.99 and seasons 1 through 3 = $39.99 each. Buy any two seasons and save $15. Buy all four seasons and save $50.

--Circuit City has a deal for anyone who wants to buy both Cold Mountain ($15.99) and The English Patient ($19.99). Buy them both and save $5.

--Circuit City is also offering a free music download of “I Can’t Wait” by Sleepy Brown featuring Outkast with the purchase of Barbershop 2: Back In Business. Offer valid 6/29/04-7/3/04. Download cards available at register. While supplies last. Download must be completed by 7/29/04. Available for PC users only. Minimum 30 per store.

Another mishap, apparently, in this week’s Target 2/$15 section! The Target flyer shows a picture of the West Side Story SE (the big red box version) as a 2/$15 purchase. Probably a mistake like the Dances With Wolves SE inclusion a few weeks ago. FYI, the other Target 2/$15s are: When Harry Met Sally, Legally Blonde, Barbershop, Men of Honor, and A Chorus Line.

Good job on this "early edition" roundup. Unless I decide to get Spiderman 2 the game, I will end up getting Blazing Saddles and...something else. Still need to get a comedy, so I might look into some dramas. [IMG] Just kidding, that part in the last week was accidental about Secret Windows. I mean...

Ugh, ignore the idiot behind the keyboard (aka me), for some reason I always thought the threads were dated with sundays date, when obviously that's not true. I should know better than post after 2 am.

Thanks for the hard work Mike! Blazing Saddles for me this week, and maybe that West Side Story Box if Target honors the ad.

This has been bugging me since Thursday when I 1st saw the add. Wouldn't it be better for people if they offered Barbershop & Barbershop 2 at the 2/$25, instead of Barbershop 2 & Friday. A co-worker has held off getting Barbershop until the release of the 2nd movie & was alittle disappointed when I showed him the add.

Anyway, just Season 4 South Park for me this week.

Ordered Blazing Saddles with my last (of 3) DeepDiscountDVD orders last week. No, I did not get a discount on it, but it was still only $13.26 which even beats the Circuit City deal after tax.

Thankfully, only two that I'm even interested in. Spider-Man '67 Collection and Garfield as Himself.

After a $250 week of DeepDiscountDVD, the wallet can't take too much strain.

(And I must say, Circuit City has been blowing Best Buy out of the water lately...)

Doug: Any Target I went in during the Dances With Wolves SE week strangely didn't have any DWW SEs out on the floor! [IMG] So, I took my Target ad to Wal-Mart and price-matched. Worked like a charm.

If it's an advertised special, they would have to issue a raincheck, right? But if price-matching works, who needs the hassle. No Target anywhere near me so I don't have to worry either way. [IMG]

Saw "Garfield as Himself" at the warehouse club last week. Can't remember the price, though. [IMG]

Target & CC best Best Buy with the Minghella double-feature this week, but BB counters with the best deal on "South Park" S4. All will be mine this Tuesday.

    Thanks as always, Mike!
