-------------------------
Thank you to everyone who contributed feedback over the past few weeks with regard to what sources to use in the Weekly RoundUp.

As you can see, this week I have reverted to the original form.

While I have not ruled out a change to include other (possibly on-line) sources, the various problems with each of the different suggestions coupled with the increased workload for me to retrieve their prices caused me to decide that I’d keep the status quo for now.

Of course, I am more than willing to continue to take any suggestions someone might have…at any time. Thanks again!

-------------------------

Standard disclaimer: All prices are taken from the websites of each chain, or from their printed advertisements, the Sunday of the week of release (so as to catch any week-of-release sale prices). All prices are subject to change by each chain. Prices and inventory in-store may or may not match the website price. If a price is marked "$_N/A_" in the grid, it means that this title is not shown as available on that chain's website or perhaps in their ads...but it COULD still be in-stores!

$_"LP" means the advertisement says "Low Price", and $_"HP" means the advertisement says "Hot Price". Use of either of these in the Roundup grid indicates that I could not locate a definite price for the item, and the ad is all I have to go on. Retailers use these phrases in advertisements so that they do not violate MAP (Minimum Advertised Price) agreements with the studios. Doing so can cost them thousands or even millions of dollars in co-op advertising funds.

I only include the titles I feel like including (or the ones Dave tells me he's looking for ;o)). In fact, the titles are pretty much the ones I'm personally interested in, with few exceptions. I don't get paid for this, and I don't have time to devote to doing every DVD. So, please don't complain. If there is a title not included in the Roundup that you want to see, just look it up yourself, and be nice enough to post and share the results with everyone...like Dave & I do!

Note that Circuit City does not guarantee their sale prices in Hawaii. Also note that I cannot include Wal-Mart/Sam’s Club prices in the standard Roundup: they set prices at individual stores based on nearby competition, so there is not a way I can say here what price you'll find at YOUR local Wal-Mart/Sam’s Club location. When it comes to Wal-Mart/Sam’s Club prices mentioned at all, just remember that "Your Mileage May Vary".

-------------------------

**BE EXTREMELY CAREFUL! Bridget Jones: Edge of Reason AND Finding Neverland AND Episodes I & II of the Star Wars moviesare available in both OAR and MAR versions...get the correct one!

--I included Episodes I & II of the Star Wars films in the grid because there have been a number of posts throughout the HTF lately claiming they have been hard-to-find. A price drop this week by 20th Century Fox on these titles seems to have made them ready available again at stores.

--Amazon is still featuring free shipping on orders over $25. Restrictions apply.

--The Star Wars: Clone Wars DVD is being advertised as including a sneak peek at Star Wars III: Revenge of the Sith.

--Best Buy is advertising a BONUS on-pack phone card with its copies of Ghost In the Shell Volume 5 ($17.99).

--Circuit City is offering a free key ring with the purchase of Finding Neverland. In-store only. While supplies last. Minimum 25 per store.

--Circuit City is also offering a $5 savings with the purchase of BOTH Bridget Jones: Edge of Reason DVD ($14.99) and the Bridge Jones: Edge of Reason soundtrack CD ($12.99). $15 + $13 = $28. $28 - $5 = $23.

--Target is offering a FREE 4 song CD with the purchase of Pimp My Ride: Volume 1. Exclusive to Target! Items are packaged together.

-------------------------

And now a word from our sponsor….

If anyone who reads the RoundUp is not aware of this, running the HTF is not free for Parker and Ron. That is why there is advertising throughout the forum and there has been the occasional membership fund drive. I’m sure I don’t need to remind you folks of all the reasons we benefit from keeping the USS HTF afloat. But, you might not be aware…THERE IS AN EASY WAY FOR YOU TO HELP!

According to Ron & Parker, many members enter the HTF through the index page or by clicking their own shortcut directly into a favorite forum. If members would simply link to the Portal Page when they start their visit to the HTF, that act alone would bring revenue to the forum. While it would also be nice if you wanted to click on some of the advertisers’ links and check out their deals and sales (that form of “window shopping” would bring even more revenue to the forum), the simple act of landing on the portal page registers a “hit” or “impression” that creates revenue for the HTF.

I was unaware of this until recently and have since changed my desktop shortcuts on the different computers I use to link to the Portal Page. I bet doing that over the past week or so has resulted in several dozen more “hits” from me alone. And, I thought I would pass along my newly-gained knowledge to anyone else who might not know the score.

So, if you want to help out, its easy…and will help keep the HTF in business.

A movie with Robert Blake is being released Tuesday? Interesting timing on that one just days after his acquittal (is there a "c" in that?). Too bad no OJ movies are being released Tuesday - that would make for a good "celebrity murderers walking the streets" double feature. :) {insert rimshot here}

Anyway, Doogie and Flintstones for me this week. I've been looking forward to the release of S3 featuring the birth of Pebbles because my 2-year-old niece looks just like Pebbles, red hair and all. And since I'm going home for a few days this week, I'll be able to show her Pebbles. As if anyone here cares. :)

Thanks, as always, Senor Frezon and Senor Sun.

Thanks again Mike, and as far as the layout, to quote a certain knight in The Last Crusade, "you chose wisely". :)

A couple of things this week:

Flintstones Season 3

and a guilty pleasure from my youth - Hardy Boys Season 1

Big week this week:
-Fat Albert
-Finding Neverland
-Flintstones:Season 3
-The Man Called Flintstone
-Star Wars:Clone Wars

I might pick Best of the New Scooby Doo Movies later.I just wish it had all the episodes.

Thanks for saving me a lot of time each week by putting all this in one place Mike and Patrick.

Rosencrantz? Sweet! Been forever.

And maybe, just maybe, stores will start to actually get in their stock of last tuesday's Farscape Starburst Edition 3. That would be nice. Darn brick n mortar stores! That will be the last time I ever fail to order from online, on a title I really want.

Finally a week with something to buy. I'll be getting:

Bring Me the Head of Alfredo Garcia
Panic in Year Zero/Last Man on Earth
Finding Neverland

I'll rent Electra Glide in Blue, as it sounds most interesting.

I'll probably pick up Clone Wars Vol. 1 this week. I went back to get Farscape Starburst Season 1 vol. 3 yesterday, but Best Buy still only had vol 1 and vol 2, so hopefully the price will stay the same when they finally get it.

Just Finding Neverland, the best film of 2004 imo.

Btw, if you are in New Jersey, Electronics Expo has it as the deal of the week for just $12.99.. Look for an ad in your Sunday paper.

Best Buy will price match it. And with a 20% off coupon I have, it will cost me $10.39! :emoji_thumbsup:

I was planning on Doogie Howser and, perhaps, Electra Glide in Blue. But, with two volumes of Clutch Cargo going for $9.99 ea at Best Buy, I may be FORCED to pick that up, too.:b Without a doubt, this is just about the goofiest, loopiest kid's cartoon of all time! For those unfamiliar, the 2D-looking Incredibles cartoon on disc 2 of the new DVD is an homage to the style of animation "pioneered" by Clutch's creators...

Thanks Mike!

For those interested in the Scooby Doo Movies collection, certain Sam's Clubs (depending on location) will be selling it for $40 and change.

By the way, is Woody and gang threaten by the Incrediables to take their spot on your siganture? :D
