Standard disclaimer: All prices are taken from the websites of each chain, or from their printed Sunday advertisements. All prices are subject to change by each chain. Prices and inventory in-store may or may not match the website price.

I, obviously, cannot include EVERY title released in a given week in the RoundUp. The titles included are those that I am interested in...as well as those which I consider will be of interest to a majority of consumers (and sometimes I’ll miss one!). I don't get paid for this, and I don't have the time to list every DVD. So, please don't complain!
If there is a title not included in the RoundUp that you want to see, PLEASE just look it up yourself, and be nice enough to post and share the results with everyone!

Note that I cannot include Wal-Mart/Sam’s Club prices in the RoundUp. They set prices at individual stores based on nearby competition, so there is no way I can say here what price you'll find at YOUR local Wal-Mart/Sam’s Club location. And, Circuit City is still out of business...even in Hawaii (where they NEVER guaranteed their prices anyway).

Thanks for posting early this week to accomodate daylight saving(s) time! The Switch is a definite at some point; whether I spring for it at the $17.99 Best Buy price or wait for a price drop down the line remains to be seen.

Thanks Mike! kind of a quiet week for me. I'll wait for the switch and at some point Sharktopus on BD (when it is $7.99 or lower).

Thanks Malcolm. We have been struggling with that for a few weeks. We came up with a workaround, let me see if I can get it to work.

I was gonna say nothing for me this week, but after scrolling through the titles on sale at BB online...I can't say that and maintain a straight face. Close Encounters, Contact, Network, Time Traveler's Wife, The Player...I have a nice long list of (mostly) Warner titles I'd love to pick up. I may wait until the end of the week to give me time to really think if I "need" these or if they're just impulse purchases.

One of my all-time holy grails comes to DVD this week: The Snoop Sisters which ran for one season as part of the NBC Mystery Movie rotating series. Helen Hayes and Mildred Natwick (who won the Emmy that year for Best Actress in a Dramatic Series) are delightfully dotty elderly sleuths in the Miss Marple tradition, and tthe shows as I recall them were a lot of fun.

I'm a little surprised more people aren't jumping on The Fighter...like I am.

I already pre-ordered (as a blind buy) from Amazon.

That's it for me this week.

I was surprised to see the Snoop Sisters pop up on this week's radar, Matt. A very nice little NBC show from the '70s. Classic TV fans should be thrilled to get it. That combo of Hayes and Natwick should be a guarantee of quality work for those who are unfamiliar with the show. I was a bit surprised to hear it only ran for one season. I would have said it was at least three or four.

My cousins and I used to jokingly refer to our moms, on occasion, as the Snoop Sisters.

I'm not a fan of boxing (or Mark Wahlberg), so that's my reason for ignoring it.

Snoop Sisters sounds intriguing, but that's a very hefty price for what appears to be five episodes totaling 6 hours of content. I can't justify a blind buy at that price.

I really enjoyed it when I saw it in the theater and I think most people will too. The performances (not just Bale and Leo) are all excellent.

The ratings weren't great for the show, but according to an interview Helen Hayes gave (I think to Mike Douglas), she and Mildred were so disenchanted with the fast pace of TV and lack of preparation time for each scene that they were happy not to do any more than one season of episodes.

I like boxing but The Fighter doesn't seem like something I'd watch more than once. I'll borrow it from the library.

Scrubs Season 8 on Blu is $12 at DeepDiscount (bear in mind their spotty reputation -- I took the risk).
