My local Wal-Mart has Miami Vice Season 1 at $38.XX so I whipped out the K-Mart ad and price matched at $32.99. My local K-Mart hadn't received their stock yet.

Not a new release, but Sam's now has the re-released Back to the Future Trilogy for $16.86 (though its $29 on their web site for some reason).

No Greatest American Hero anywhere to be seen at my Wal-Mart.

My turn to thank you, this week, Jeff for typing up the W-M list! ;)

What's up with Wal-Mart stocking Man in the Mirror anyway? I thought they were a "family friendly" sort of store? :D

All I picked up were Raging Bull (a PM with a Best Buy ad -- $15.99) and the Wind & the Lion ($7.50).

Oh. And my Wal-Mart also had a slew of "Last chance to buy" signs posted around its $7.50, $8.88 and $9.94 DVDs. I asked the sales person in electronics who seemed to know what she was talking about...and she said they plan on re-designing the DVD section and ship a bunch of the current DVD selection back to the warehouse and replace it with other stock.

You're welcome Mike.

The pricing seems more consistent this week between both locations. Especially several of the Season Sets in the $21.xx range at both locations.

Your Wal-Mart's pricing on Malcom X and Raging Bull 2D SE is suprising to me - considering the competitive pricing on Shark Tale and The Notebook.

Anybody find New York, New York? When I picked up Raging Bull SE in Best Buy, they checked their computer for me and it wasn't listed in stock yet. Who has had better luck?

Ed: I didn't see NY, NY at my Wal-Mart last night and they had most of the new releases out. But, I haven't had a chance to check out the usual suspects yet--BB, CC, or BJs.

wal-mart in San Diego had Deadwood in the 62-63 range. Also Shark Tale is $14.25 And I used the $3 coupon from the paper yesterday. Sorry I Don't remember any other prices.

I am watching Shark Tale on my new 37" sharp LCD. Found a open box just returned to BB with extra %10 off for open box TV's I got about a thousand off the total price.

The Costco in Merrillville IN has a special deal;
2 disc Raging Bull for $18.49 and the other Scorcese films
for $8.99 (New York, New York and Boxcar and Last Waltz).
The deal was a poster that listed $5.00 if you buy
Raging Bull and any other Scorcese film at the same time.
A discount will be taken at checkout. The thing that shocked
me was that a $5.00 discount was taken on BOTH Raging Bull
and New York!!!
I don't know if they have the deal at other Costco's?

My paper (Atlanta) didn't mention Mad about You in the BB and CC ads and they are not on sale at BB (CC doesn't even have the set). I can't find it on sale here. Any thoughts. Is it just poor timing with all of the other sitcom sets out this week? Even still there should be something I would think....

Wow! That's a great deal at Costco. I'll check out my NJ store tomorrow & see if the same deal is available. Thanks, Enrique.

Has anyone seen The Greatest American Hero in their travels this week?

I happened to be in another Wal-Mart tonight (I gotta get a life) and did not. They also had no copies of The Notebook (which I thought odd). They had signs up at this W-M that both SharkTales and The Notebook were $14.87!

Note that the new release this week is actually Godzilla Vs. Mechagodzilla II. It's a recent film ('93, maybe), whereas the other Goji-chan release this week, Godzilla Vs. The Sea Monster, is an oldie from '66.
