I'm so terrific I have my own toll-free number: 1-800-UNBELIEVABLE! (quote from The Adventures of Ford Fairlane)

[c] [/c]

Standard disclaimer: All prices are taken from the websites of each chain, or from their printed advertisements, the Sunday of the week of release (so as to catch any week-of-release sale prices). All prices are subject to change by each chain. Prices and inventory in-store may or may not match the website price. If a price is marked "$_N/A_" in the grid, it means that this title is not shown as available on that chain's website or perhaps in their ads...but it COULD still be in-stores!

$_"LP" means the advertisement says "Low Price", and $_"HP" means the advertisement says "Hot Price". Use of either of these in the Roundup grid indicates that I could not locate a definate price for the item, and the ad is all I have to go on. Retailers use these phrases in advertisements so that they do not violate MAP (Minimum Advertised Price) agreements with the studios. Doing so can cost them thousands or even millions of dollars in co-op advertising funds.

I only include the titles I feel like including. In fact, the titles are pretty much the ones I'm personally interested in, with few exceptions. I don't get paid for this, and I don't have time to devote to doing every DVD. I have a lovely wife and a five-year-old son I'd rather spend time with. Please don't complain. If there is a title not included in the Roundup that you want to see, just look it up yourself, and be nice enough to post and share the results with everyone...like I do!

Note that Circuit City does not guarantee their sale prices in Hawaii. Also note that I cannot include Wal-Mart prices in the standard Roundup: Wal-Mart sets prices at individual stores based on nearby competition, so there is not a way I can say here what price you'll find at YOUR local Wal-Mart location. When it comes to Wal-Mart prices mentioned at all, just remember that "Your Milage May Vary".

David, thanks as always for the round up, this will be the last 1 I check until after the new year, with spotty internet access at home...

now if I were buying anything for myself this week, it would be South Park Season 3. I'm hoping to find it under the tree though.

Picked up Escape from NY: SE last week, haven't gotten to watch it yet...
All I need then is SP season 3. I may pick up Seabiscuit to give as a gift.

Thanks, as always!

In the Best Buy circular, on Golden Pond is on the page advert'ing "3 for $30". They have the DVDs divided into categories. It's definitely in with some discs I've seen previously marked down.

Anybody have an informed opinion on this?

South Park 3 for me. I have $25 in gift cards for Suncoast. Wonder if they will have a new release discount for me to work down from...

Thanks, Dave.

Asking again about the new Pet Shop Boys DVD, PopArt... anyone know anything? Most of the online retailers are reporting a 12/16 release date, but I haven't seen it in any ads and there's been no "official" announcement.

Do you think Best Buy will price match Circuit City on Seabiscuit even though CC doesn't offer the free book? Anyone have past experience in similar situations?

For anyone planning to get LXG at Circuit City, be advised that word has filtered down that CC has pulled the advertised offer of the free LXG comic book due to 'content issues' (um, duh... did they not know that this book puts the 'graphic' in graphic novel?)

Just a quick holiday toast to Dave for the countless dollars he's saved all of us through his Roundups. I might not have always known my DVD is $2 cheaper at Target than at Best Buy where I might normally get it, and over the course of the year/s those $2 a week really begin to add up. So, thanks.

Cheers.

You're welcome to Paul, and to everyone else.

Also, be sure to give thanks to Patrick Sun for his consistant contributions of the sales which I leave off the Roundup...he saves us all a few bucks, too!

My thanks goes out to all of you who participate in these weekly threads, whether you happen to know a bargain or not. It's great to have such a lively group here. Thanks!

I'll eventually get South Park 3 (this will be the release that gets me started on the SP series, so I'll eventually pick up the first two)...

Is LXG any good? I'm thinking about picking that up, too.
