Just wanted to post a current experience I'm having with a company.
I recently purchased a FIC motherboard from DPC International.
The company's website states that after so many days, all motherboard repairs must go thru the motherboard manufacturer.
Well, FIC, the manufacturer, has discontinued this particular motherboard.

I just wanted to warn some people.
In my opinion, any company that states this on their website is flat out lying.

Partial quote from website:

"Customers wishing to return or replace any product after thirty days from date of invoice must contact the manufacturer of the product."

If you just purchased it, why not return it for a replacement? If it's over 30 days, this policy seems reasonable, or am I missing something?

They will not fax an rma form to me.
I have contacted them via email several times before the 30 days was up.

I checked out the site and the only FIC motherboard I found was a socket 7...if that's the motherboard you got, I don't see how you couldn't know FIC had discontinued making this board, as socket 7 motherboards haven't been made for years. They should offer a replacement if the board is defective but I wouldn't count on any manufacturers warrenty on outdated hardware.
