El Santo was - well, take Hulk Hogan and The Rock, how massive they were at the height of their popularity - and combine them into one man. That was Santo, the Man in the Silver Mask.
In addition to being a wrestling god, the fellow made hundreds of awesome, low budget movies - stuff like where he would build a time machine, go back to Transylvania, wrestle Dracula and steal his treasure. Batshit crazy stuff like - well, like this:
