I was wondering about the viability of using an Apple Cinema Display as a TV -- especially the 23" model. That really is about the perfect size for my needs right now but I wonder if I'm not better off buying an LCD TV which could be had for cheaper. One thing I noticed is that it looks like the 23" and 30" models can handle 1080p! (if and when it ever became necessary). Apple also brags about their color accuracy. Anybody here have any experience with these displays?

Does anybody know how these would work with an hd tuner box? My current (but old) TV is 480p, which I can easily set my cable box to. What would I set the box to for a monitor that is 1920x1200 such as the apple 23" model? Will the monitor automatically configure itself to the whatever signal the box sends out?
