Does anyone here have the DTS LD of Vertigo? And if so, how does it compare to the DVD? I have the DVD but have a chance to get the dts laser so I was wondering if the dts on the laser is really any better in terms of audio quality than the LD. I know that when Mr. Harris and Mr. Katz went about the restoration, the soundtrack was dts. So, Is this worth picking up? Opinions anyone?

Greg,
I have the DTS LD, but I've not seen the DVD. However, I did manage to bump up your question. :)

I preferred the sound on the LD, but we're not talking state-of-the-art audio here. The DVD looks better despite the transfer not being anamorphic.

The DVD also has all the extra material contained on the DD Laser - including a great documentary.

I only have the DTS LaserDisc. Both picture and sound are very nice. Never seen or heard the DD DVD.

Thanks to all who responded. I think I'll go ahead and pick the LD up.
