Where Eagles Dare is a must buy for me. I hope that Warners has used a restored print for this. The previous LD (done sometime in the 80's) used a print that was very rough in a couple of places.

Vacation is 16x9, which I said in its own thread about a week ago.

Memiors of an Invisible Man has no cover art yet but is the Chevy Chase/Daryl Hannah flick.

Not all specs are posted yet on everything, but my understanding is that everything on that list will be available in OAR.

Cool, "Memoirs.." in beautiful 2.35 WS! I wonder what kind of sound mix will be used, I'm hoping for DD 5.1 but I'm doubting it.

And anybody who purchases Theodore Rex gets shot.
To heck with that.....where's The Wind and The Lion instead????

EDIT: Theodore Rex is also the title of a great book by Edmund Morris on Theodore Roosevelt. How dare they make another silly Whoopi Goldberg film with that title?

No specs yet on Vacation other than 16x9 and languages. Well, it's closed captioned, too. :)

On one screen I see a $14.98 SRP that must be the old MAR one and a different listing for an item that is an SRP of $19.98, so the latter must be the new OAR version.

Do you think we can slow down on the special requests? I have a Weekly Roundup to get together! Press releases ought to be along in short order with full details.

I know, that's funny because I asked my brother once what he wanted for Christmas and he said Theodore Rex and I said "Why do you want that crappy flick?". :D

Looking at the cover art, I'm a bit surprised that Where Eagles Dare is part of the Eastwood Collection. Yes, Clint is in it, but I view it more of a Richard Burton movie than an Eastwood flick. I believe Burton had top billing when the film was released.

Damn... no extras for Memoirs of an Invisible Man? I was hoping for a John Carpenter/Chevy Chase commentary, since both have done commentaries before. This is such an underrated film and deserves at least SOME extras for its DVD. And I'm sure there were a few deleted scenes that could be put on the DVD too. :frowning:
