Good Day,

I'm currently working on a design for an AV wall unit for my family room. I'd like to use 2-way mirror to hide components, and be able to watch the TV when it's on.

The glass panel will be about 3'x7', which will make it VERY heavy (50-70 lbs), however I don't think that you can put a mirror film on glass-replacement material, like Lucite (sp?).

Does anyone have any experience with this kind of material? Any advice on coatings, glass thickness, etc.?

Thanks,

Ross.

Ross,
Welcome. I have not had to much experience with 2 way mirrors, but here is a link for 2 way plexi glass mirror. Probably a little lighter. How will your ir's work? Are you going to do a ir distribution system (Xantech, Niles?). Good luck. Shop around. Select is kinda expensive on some stuff.
