Hi!
I have a Dolby Pro Logic receiver and I am thinking about upgrading to a digital receiver that has Dolby Digital/DTS and so on. However, my current setup allows for only 2 channel listening right now for music and mainly for movies. I anticipate that my setup will remain a 2 channel one too for a while...
Will there be any benefits then in upgrading to digital in my case?
Is there a difference then between a 2 channel analog hookup and a digital one where only the 2 front channels are selected? I know the digital bitstream offers some things an analog can't such as dynamic range control flags and so but what about sonically and the quality in downmixes?
Thanks
Andy
