U2 dvd (1 Viewer)

I believe there was an announcement last spring for the U2 Popmart show from Mexico City as well as the Best of videos collection. Any word on these DVD's? Also, I had heard one was in the works from the current tour any info on that one?

Two shows on the current tour were filmed in Boston a couple of months ago. It was my understanding then that they would be shown on HBO sometime late this year and that a DVD would be coming sometime after that, but apparently that's not the case (at least the HBO part unless they plan to play it in next month or so)...

Much to my (and others') dismay the Popmart DVD simply disapeared. I had it on preorder got an email from DVD Planet saying it was cancelled and I haven't heard back. Too bad catalog music titles never get released.

HBO passed on the U2 project and will not be airing it. The DVD is on the schedule (forget the date off the top of my head but it's late Nov/early Dec). I believe they are still trying to line up an outlet for a broadcast but not sure how that is shaping up.

Awesome, I cannot wait !!!! I was wondering how long it was going to be before the next U2 DVD was released and this DVD looks fantastic.

Well my joy has turned to sadness, I just found out that U2 have cancelled their Elevation Tour to Australia.

As good as the DVD looks, it's not the same as being at the concert. Was really looking forward to them seeing as I've been to every tour of Australia since 1987.
