Kate Bush (in my opinion the greatest female musical talent the UK has ever produced) uses this line from Night of the Demon on her 1985 song Hounds of Love. There is a wonderful video on YouTube which overlays Hounds of Love onto some scenes from the movie.

I've said this before but I think horror titles are always in big demand. I would think Night of the Demon would sell quickly but I'm not sure if the film would be as popular as something like Christine from John Carpenter...maybe it would but I'm not sure but I would say that I think it would be a film that would sell consistently over the years as more and more horror fans discover it. I just think there would always be a demand for it.

I would also say I don't think there is anything wrong with the way Twilight Time handled the release of Christine or Fright Night. I mean it should have been expected that those films would be in high demand and if you want to slam somebody for limiting the release of films like this to 3000 copies I would blame the company that licensed them to Twilight for not releasing them on their own. Something like Christine would be a steady seller because Carpenter is such a big deal to horror fans.

Honestly, I would not have guessed Fright Night would go so fast (mainly because I just thought it was not such a great film) but I think horror fans just snap up these genre films.

Any news on if Twilight Time would also revisit The Kremlin Letter on blu-ray?

What is to stop the labels from re-releasing their own Blu-ray editions later down the line? If the demand is still there, I'd imagine this would be the only solution...

Nothing. But the flip side is they could also think that the TT release saturated the core fan base, or that if the TT release couldn't even sell a full 3,000 copies there's not enough interest.

Well, Hallelujah -- I just got what has to be one of the first copies of The Driver in the first minute -- miraculous, considering the usual bottleneck when these things go on sale, but especially considering that they're offering signed copies of Hard Times with a $100 Twilight Time order. (Not something I can take advantage of because I have everything of theirs I want.)

I got my copy of THE DRIVER too. Ordered about 5 minutes after the preorder went live. Living in Canada like I do, they give you two options for shipping. 35 dollars or 8 dollars. With the 8 dollar shipping they won't replace or refund your money if the shipment is lost. I chose the 8 dollar option.

I got my copy of "The Driver" which I am over the moon about as it's my favorite Walter Hill movie with "Streets Of Fire" and "The Warriors" coming in a close second ( 48Hrs, Southern Comfort ....) BUT I screwed up my order up in that I got to the checkout before the free (for orders over $100) autographed copy of "Hard Times" appeared assuming that it would be automatically added to my shipment

Ah well I had better "Go Home"
